Topic: Fulfilling God’s Purpose – Everlasting Life [Saturday January 28, 2017]

“And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time … with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. ” (Mark 10:29-30)

The will of God brings with it everlasting life, which is God’s life that He gives you when you accept Christ. Everlasting life starts here and extends to the next world. When you meet a man that has everlasting life, you will know because his life will demonstrate it. The question I have for you is, ‘What kind of life do you live?’

The moment you accept Christ, the moment you believe in Him, leaving being worldly things, you receive everlasting life. I am excited about believing in Christ. If you have everlasting life, when your peers are drinking and engaging in sexual immorality, you will be celebrating Christ. When they are talking negatives, you will be talking positives.

“… for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” (Matthew 12:34b)

The mouth can only speak what is in the inside of a man. Whatever life you are living outside is dictated by what is inside you. By extension, therefore, if what is inside is wrong, what is outside is automatically wrong also. But what you have on the inside is determined by what you feed it.

Today, feed your life with the Word of God. Surround your life with godly and positive minded people. Read Christian and inspirational books. And do everything as someone heading for everlasting life. God’s face will shine on you today.

WORDS OF WISDOM: The mouth can only speak what is on the inside of a person.

PRAYER/CONFESSION: Father, teach me to avoid a life of damnation. Imbibe in me the spirit of eternal life, in Jesus name.
