TREM Devotional – You Are A World Overcomer

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 25 April 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – You Are A World Overcomer

TOPIC: You Are A World Overcomer (TREM Devotional 25 April 2024)

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Our faith as believers is predicated on the fact that Christ has given us victory. The scripture says in the Book of 1 John 4:4: “…Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (KJV), 2 Corinthians 2:14 says: “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ,…” (KJV). In Christ, we always win. We never lose. Nothing works against the believer. You are a winner in Christ.

One of the greatest victories you have as a believer is the victory over sin. Sin has no power over you anymore. Christ has destroyed the power of sin on the cross. Once you are in Christ, you have forgiveness of sin according to the riches of His grace. The Book of Colossians 1:14 says: “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” (KJV).

Beloved, stop thinking sin! Sin is no longer an issue with the believer. You have been delivered from the power of sin. Sin is broken over your life. The scripture is very clear. Sin shall not have dominion over you because you are not under the law but under grace. Don’t think sin; think righteousness. Awake to righteousness and sin not. Have the mentality that you are always righteous. Wake up every morning and thank God for your righteousness.

The beauty of the gospel is that God is no longer judging the believer because He has become the propitiation for our sins. Don’t let your sin drive you away from God. In fact, it should drive you to God. That is why He said to come boldly to obtain mercy. Mercy is God not giving you the judgment you deserve. And grace is God giving you the good you don’t deserve. He is a merciful God. He has judged your sin already on the cross. Jesus has paid for it. All you need to do is believe what has been done for you, and you will see powerful changes in your life.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Your Mind And Your Access To The Voice Of God

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 25 April 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Your Mind And Your Access To The Voice Of God

TOPIC: Your Mind And Your Access To The Voice Of God (Seeds Of Destiny 25 April 2024)

SCRIPTURE: While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee. – Acts 10:19.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your mind affects your access to the Voice of God.

MESSAGE:

The Scripture reveals that out of your mind are the issues of life (Prov. 4:23)
This means, the state of your mind affects the issues of your life. Hence, there is a need to guard your mind with all diligence.
Now, what is the power of the mind?

  1. The mind affects access to God’s voice.
    Acts 10:19 says:
While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
While Peter thought on the vision, God spoke to him. Your mind affects your access to the Voice of God.

Matthew 1:20 says:
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

As Joseph thought, God visited him. God visits you based on what is going on in your mind. God speaks to you based on what your mind is thinking of per time.

  1. The mind determines the Acts and Possibilities of God.

Ephesians 3:20 says:
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
God is able to do exceedingly abundantly, above all that we can ask or imagine.

Philemon 1:14 says:
But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.
So, God needs the cooperation of your mind to do mega things in your life.

  1. The mind determines the stability of life.
A stable mind is a stable life. It does not matter the storms of life or what is going on around the world, if your mind is stable, your life will be stable.

Job 23:13 says:
But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.

If your mind is stable, there is no holocaust or pestilence on earth that can shake it. When men say they are cast down, you shall be saying there is a lifting up.

REMEMBER THIS: Your mind affects your access to the Voice of God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind not to limit the Acts and Possibilities of God in your life by a negative mind-set.
  2. Believe God totally to do His Work in your life.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You purify my heart from the pollutions and distractions of the world. I receive access to Your Voice and possibilities through a positive mind-set Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE MIND-THE BATTLE FIELD OF THE REDEEMED.

QUOTE: The moment you have this mentality and you know that the Bible was given to you by God as a gift, the more impact it has on your life and destiny. The Scripture is a gift.

DCLM Daily Manna – How Not To Use His Name

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 25 April 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — How Not To Use His Name

TOPIC: How Not To Use His Name (DCLM Daily Manna 25 April 2024)

KEY VERSE: “Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied” (1 Samuel 17:45).

TEXT: 1 Samuel 17:41-54 (KJV)

41 And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.

42 And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.

43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.

45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

46 This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

47 And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands.

48 And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.

49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.

50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.

51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.

52 And the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines, until thou come to the valley, and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even unto Gath, and unto Ekron.

53 And the children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they spoiled their tents.

54 And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armour in his tent.

MESSAGE:

Having the right kind of weapons in warfare and being able to use them effectively produces confidence in the soldiers, making them to dare any foe. The Tsar Bomba is said to be the world’s most powerful and deadliest weapon of mass destruction. It was created by the then Soviet Union as a response to the United States’ nuclear programme. The very massive bomb was intended to destroy everything. Russia’s possession of deadly weapons like this makes her to dare powerful nations.

Goliath also considered himself unconquerable owing to his intimidating stature and years of experience at war. However, David had a far more potent weapon: his confidence and faith in the name of the Lord. He was sure that no one could stand against God in battle. So, when Goliath charged towards him, instead of shrinking and retreating in fear, David ran towards him with unshaken confidence and the giant was brought down with a single sling of his stone.

When we truly understand the power that is in the Lord, we will not be afraid of any enemy or battle. The name of Jesus prevails over every situation and all circumstances; be they physical or spiritual. The Name of Jesus gives victory and triumph over temptations and causes satanic and demonic powers to bow and flee. The name heals all forms of diseases and sicknesses and provides abundantly in times of need.

If we will prevail with the name of the Lord like David, we must learn how to use it effectively. God’s name is only potent on the lips of a righteous believer. You must be a child of God before you can use His name effectively. You must also have unwavering faith and confidence in Him.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Lovelessness Limits Potentials

Pastor Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 24 April 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Lovelessness Limits Potentials

TOPIC: Lovelessness Limits Potentials (Seeds Of Destiny 24 April 2024)

SCRIPTURE: And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Lovelessness limits a person’s potentials, abilities and giftings.

MESSAGE:

It has been established that a major consequence of lovelessness is the limitation of life’s potentials. Lovelessness limits a person’s potentials, abilities and giftings. Hatred, anger or resentment cages a person’s abilities and capabilities.

When you fail to walk in love, your potentials become limited. When you fail to walk in love, what you can become in life becomes limited.

But why is this so? It is because God made man in His image.

Genesis 1:27 says:
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

God made man in His own image, and the image of God is love. This means, God made man in love. And the implication of this is that to realize your potentials, you must walk in love. To become who God made you to be, you must walk and live according to the nature of your creation which is the nature of love. To become who God wants you to be in life, you must work according to the nature of your creation which is love.

We were created with a love mold, and not with a hate mold.

Existence in lovelessness then equals existence in limitation. When you see a person of love, his life is full of possibilities. There are possibilities in his life that eyes cannot see.
But when you see a hateful or a malicious person, his life and potentials are caged.
Beloved, don’t be a hateful and malicious person; live in love.

REMEMBER THIS: Lovelessness limits a person’s potentials, abilities and giftings.

ASSIGNMENT FOR THE DAY:

  1. Ask God for the grace to overcome hatred, resentment and unforgiveness.
  2. Do not allow your potentials and possibilities to be limited by lovelessness.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from anger and hatred that limits my potentials. I receive victory over the spell of lovelessness, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TREM Devotional – Your Safety Is In Him

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 24 April 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Your Safety Is In Him

TOPIC: Your Safety Is In Him (TREM Devotional 24 April 2024)

“The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.” 2 Samuel 22:3 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Child of God, in these times we are in and with a whole lot happening around us, your safety is only in God.

The Book of Proverbs 18:10 says, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it and is safe.” (KJV) To run means to rush and to stretch out like David, who pants after God. No wonder he was able to defeat Goliath. Now I know why Paul was always in pursuit of God. He said: “That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” Philippians 3:10-11 (NKJV).

To run to Him means to hasten to Him. It means God is your first point of call in every challenge you face, not the doctor. We thank God for doctors. They do their jobs. But first, go to God. Before you pop that tablet and those capsules into your mouth, go to God first. Pray over it. Close the door to every other suggestion and doubt. Find out what God has got to say in every situation. That is how to run to God. You ask, Lord, what is your view concerning this health situation? What is your view concerning my business? What is the next level? What should I do?

The righteous knows the value of God’s Word. Not everyone wants to hear God, but truly righteous people want to hear Him. If you believe in His promises, you will run to Him. The good thing is that you can hear from God anywhere with technology. Don’t stop hearing. Every other thing will not give you stability. The only thing that will give you stability is God’s pure, undiluted, infallible, and errorless Word. That is what you need!

DCLM Daily Manna – We Shall Be Like Him!

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 24 April 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — We Shall Be Like Him!

TOPIC: We Shall Be Like Him! (DCLM Daily Manna 24 April 2024)

KEY VERSE: “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2).

TEXT: 1 John 3:1-4 (KJV)

1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

MESSAGE:

We are all familiar with the kind of feeling we have when we are expecting something new and special. It may be the prospect of a dream job, a relocation to a new and desired place or the meeting of a very special person – spouse, long time friend or a celebrity. Our excitement and anticipation cannot be hidden. As we look forward to that special thing, we cannot hide our wonder as to how we will feel when it finally comes. Actually, this kind of joyful expectation keeps us upbeat. Every day, we look forward with a lively hope.

It is this kind of feeling of joyful expectation that the Apostle John expresses in our reading today. He is astonished at the manner of love God shows towards us as Christians. It is so amazing for men to be called the sons of God. Much more exciting is the fact that we will see Jesus when He comes again. And not just seeing Him; we will be just like Him! This is indeed amazing!

When we share this same hope with the Apostle John, we will not be too bothered with our present state or lot in life. We will not be worried if the world recognises and accepts us or not. The mere fact that we are the sons and daughters of the Almighty God who is the Possessor of all things on earth and in heaven is far more sufficient for us. But far beyond who we are and what we have now is this exciting hope of who we shall be when Christ returns at the rapture! Nothing present in this world can compare with our future hope.

This exciting hope puts springs in our feet and causes us to gallop through life with the joy of the Lord, not minding our present deprivations. This hope makes us to endure all trials and temptations so that we can keep alive and be in readiness when He comes.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Great expectation requires great preparation.

TREM Devotional – Jesus Is Not Ashamed To Identify With You

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 23 April 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Jesus Is Not Ashamed To Identify With You

TOPIC: Jesus Is Not Ashamed To Identify With You (TREM Devotional 23 April 2024)

“For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren.” Hebrew 2:11 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Beloved, if you are born again, you have become one with Christ. God sees you the same way he sees Christ. No difference!

John 17:23 says, “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.” (KJV). The same quality of love God has for Christ is what He has for you. No difference! This is because you have taken on that name.

When you are facing challenges and obstacles, you stand and rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus. The moment that names proceed from your lips, the Lord steps in, steps you aside, and takes over. That is why the devil doesn’t want you to function in that name. Jesus steps you aside and moves in. That is what happens in the realm of the spirit. Supernaturally, you are moved out of the way of harm, out of the way of obstacles, and out of the way of difficulty. He takes over. And He takes it personally because you carry His name.

The name of Jesus is a strong tower. It means rugged and powerful. Tower means stronghold or fortress. It is a source of strength: A person who can be relied upon for support, aid, or comfort, especially in difficult times. It is a castle. It can be depended upon. It gives you stability and settles you. You are not afraid when you run into that tower. In that tower, you receive security. You are covered in the morning, afternoon, and night.

Beloved, you are covered! And because you are covered, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. You have the authority to condemn any tongue that shall rise in judgment against you because your righteousness is of the Lord. When everything is falling apart, Jesus becomes your anchor. So, you must learn to build your hope in Christ.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Offences Must Come

Pastor Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 23 April 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Offences Must Come

TOPIC: Offences Must Come (Seeds Of Destiny 23 April 2024)

SCRIPTURE: Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! Matthew 18:7.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: As far as the matter of offence is concerned, the only person who will never be offended is one who is already in the grave.

MESSAGE:

One major weapon of satan against the children of God in this end time is the weapon of offence. satan sponsors offences to scatter lives and families.

Let me give you one example. A husband and wife may live together and may not talk to one another because of offence. And if they would talk at all, it may be a short-wave communication.

In the morning, the wife greets the husband, “Good morning”.
With a frown, the husband responds, “Good morning”.
The wife asks, “What do I cook for you today?”
Reluctantly, the husband says, “Anything”.
Two siblings may not talk to each other at home, but when they come to church, they sing and clap hands as though all is well between them.

Matthew 18:7 says:
Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

Please take note of this
… for it must needs be that offences come; …

This is the truth: Offences must surely come. As far as the matter of offence is concerned, the only person who will never be offended is the one who is already in the grave. The people you love will offend you. The people that hate you will offend you. The people that you have helped will hurt you. The people that you have assisted will resist you. Everywhere you go, offences are staring you in the face.

You would understand that the very people that Jesus came to die for were the ones that crucified Him. He came to save them from destruction but they spat on Him, flogged, and then crucified Him. He laboured for three years to raise Judas Iscariot but the same Judas betrayed Him.

Beloved, this is what to do: despite the unavoidability of offence, make up your mind never to be the victim of offence. Make the choice never to act according to people’s offences.

REMEMBER THIS: As far as the matter of offence is concerned, the only person who will never be offended is the one who is already in the grave.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Equip yourself with the mentality that offences must surely come.
  2. Refuse to harbour bitterness despite obvious attempts to throw offences at you.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace never to harbour bitterness despite enemy’s desperate attempts at provocation. I ask that You deliver me from the temptation of destructive reactions to offences, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Courage To Do The Right

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 23 April 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Courage To Do The Right

TOPIC: Courage To Do The Right (DCLM Daily Manna 23 April 2024)

KEY VERSE: “And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD” (2 Chronicles 15:8).

TEXT: 2 Chronicles 15:1-13 (KJV)

1 And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:

2 And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

3 Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

5 And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.

6 And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.

7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.

9 And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.

10 So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.

11 And they offered unto the Lord the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.

12 And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

13 That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

MESSAGE:

Martin Spoelstra narrates part of the inspiring and intriguing story of the courageous missionary to Africa, Mary Slessor (1848-1915). “…Mary saved the lives of hundreds of mothers and their twins. One evening, Mary heard the screams of an Okoyong woman tied to stakes on the ground. A man was preparing to scald her with boiling oil because the woman had given food to a starving slave man while her husband was away. The Okoyong laws demanded that the woman be punished for her offence. Mary ran to the screaming woman and put herself between the woman and the man holding the oil. The man danced around Mary, threatening to pour the oil. Despite the boiling oil and the size of the man, Mary stood her ground. The man back down and the woman was saved! Mary saved countless other lives, worked to end fighting between tribes and spread the message of Christ throughout Africa. By showing the courage to face her fears, Mary brought real and lasting change to African society and spirituality. What a great way to spend one’s life!”

Asa had just ascended the throne of Judah. He came up at a time the whole land appeared to have been sold to corruption. They had forgotten the true God and for a very long time, they had not had any priest or prophet to teach them the word of God. But Asa was encouraged by the words and prophecy of Azariah to stand with God and carry out the necessary reforms because God would surely reward his efforts. Asa took courage, put away all the abominable things in his kingdom and brought the people back to serve the true God.

If our families, churches and societies will be transformed and enjoy the blessings and favour of God, then we must be ready to demonstrate courage like Asa and root out all the sinful and abominable practices we find around us.
