Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Your Intake Determines Your Outcome In Life

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 15 July 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Your Intake Determines Your Outcome In Life

TOPIC: Your Intake Determines Your Outcome In Life (Seeds Of Destiny 15 July 2022)

SCRIPTURE: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your intake determines your welfare in life.

MESSAGE:

It has been confirmed that intake determines outcome. What you take in determines how you turn out eventually in life and destiny. Your intake also determines your welfare in life. What you feed on determines how you fare in life.

Look at this illustration: If two children, say child A and child B are placed on two different diets; child A on a balanced diet, while child B is placed on an imbalanced diet. You would notice that when the two children grow up, child A would fare very pretty well, while child B would experience retarded growth with resultant kwashiorkor because of malnutrition. Also, while child A would have a plump physique with a well-developed brain, child B would grow thin with arrested physical and mental development. This is because the quality of what they ate affected how they grew up in life.

This is how it is in the spirit – the quality of your spiritual diet determines how you will turn out on earth.

In the Book of Matthew 4:4, our Master, Jesus, draws our attention to the spiritual benefit of the Word of God to man:
But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

There are many children of God who don’t feed on God’s Word or any spiritual material for a whole week. In one week, they have not opened their Bible to even look at one verse of the Scripture. They have not listened to a tape or read a periodical that can enhance both their spiritual and physical wellbeing. They remember to eat their physical food but they never remember to nourish their spirit with the Word of God.

The outcome is that they suffer from spiritual kwashiorkor, which is spiritual energy malnutrition. They cannot resist infection and affliction, both in the spiritual and in the physical. Affliction must always overcome them. They are tiny and skinny in the realm of the spirit. When the wind of adversity comes, they are blown off because they don’t carry weight in the realm of the spirit.

Beloved, determine to pay attention to your spiritual feeding.

Remember this: Your intake determines your welfare in life.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Pay attention to your spiritual nutrition.
  2. Always feed on God’s Word.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to feed on Your Word always, Lord, in Jesus Name.

QUOTE: There are many people today who are not growing in any way: there is no growth in the study of the Word; no growth in the knowledge of God; no growth in revelation; no growth in information etc. and nothing is growing around them. Culled from “21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY BIBLE READING: Isaiah 1-3.

AMAZING FACT: The tooth is the only part of the human body that cannot heal and repair by its own.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: Every trace of infection or affliction in your life is arrested in Jesus’ Name. Receive a fresh appetite for the Word of God in Jesus’ Name.

31 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.

32 The sixth lot came out to the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families.

33 And their coast was from Heleph, from Allon to Zaanannim, and Adami, Nekeb, and Jabneel, unto Lakum; and the outgoings thereof were at Jordan:

34 And then the coast turneth westward to Aznothtabor, and goeth out from thence to Hukkok, and reacheth to Zebulun on the south side, and reacheth to Asher on the west side, and to Judah upon Jordan toward the sunrising.

35 And the fenced cities are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth,

36 And Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor,

37 And Kedesh, and Edrei, and Enhazor,

38 And Iron, and Migdalel, Horem, and Bethanath, and Bethshemesh; nineteen cities with their villages.

39 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities and their villages.

KEY VERSE: “This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities and their villages” (Joshua 19:39).

MESSAGE:

In a certain African country, a man looked over a large tract of uncultivated thick forest that stretched endlessly into the distance and concluded that God might still be in the business of creation. He thought God is still creating more land to accommodate man’s insatiable appetite. He did not take into consideration the word of God that “on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made” (Genesis 2:2). He would not have to work again to add or subtract from what He concluded “was very good.”

The Lord had a long shot of several centuries to come when men and women would spread all over the earth to fulfil His command: “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it…” (Genesis 1:28). So, as Joshua shared the lands in the Promised Land, there was enough for every tribe among the children of Israel. None of the offspring of Jacob was left out.

God makes conditional promises, as He did to Abraham that his descendants would be “as the stars of heaven, and as the sand… upon the sea shore…” because he obeyed His voice. Joshua and Caleb along with others who obeyed God made it to the land flowing with “milk and honey” while it was a sorrowful end for the rebels among them.

Today, the Lord is willing to supply the physical and spiritual needs of those who would believe in Him regardless of the difficulties in our present world. Christians must faithfully queue behind Jesus Christ as He leads us to heaven for the everlasting riches He has preserved for us.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Man cannot abort the plan of God to bless His people.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Genesis 45-47

Prayer Points:

  1. God I praised you for your full forgiveness and the fact that I am neither a stranger nor inferior to the greatest of saints before God.
  2. Lord, open my eyes wide to my inheritance in Christ and quicken me to move and possess all.
  3. Lord, give me all the grace I need to strive and possess all my possessions.
  4. Lord, open the heavens during the coming crusade and let your people possess their possessions.

HYMN: Ti’s so sweet to trust in Jesus.(GHS 48)

TREM Devotional – The Word Of God Is Your Sure Guide

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 14 July 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – The Word Of God Is Your Sure Guide

TOPIC: The Word Of God Is Your Sure Guide (TREM Devotional 14 July 2022)

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Negative thoughts and feelings will lead to negative decisions. There are lots of people who have taken the wrong decision just because of what and how they felt at the moment of decision. Child of God, we are not supposed to be carnally minded. The book of Romans 8:5 says, “for they that are after the flesh, do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the spirit; for to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace”. In other words, carnally minded people talk and walk by sight. They walk by feelings and by what somebody has said. Don’t you realize that feelings are subject to change? The way you feel about something is based on the information you have about it. If you want a life of peace, then think the word of God. The carnal mind is enmity against God because it is not subject to the law of God.

What does it mean to walk by sight? This happens when you walk by what you see, what you hear, what you taste, what you smell, and what you touch. If that is the way you walk, you can never please God. You cannot because you are not walking by faith. The just shall live by faith. To be carnally minded is death because those that are in the flesh cannot please God.

As a believer you are not in the flesh, you are in the spirit because the spirit of God is inside you. Right inside you is all that God is. It’s already there. Don’t let your feelings determine the decisions you take. Let every decision of your life be taken based on what God said. Not what man said nor what somebody influenced you to say. The truth is that every one of us has his or her race in life.

Don’t let your decision be guided by your feeling or by the feelings of others, but by God’s word. The word of God is the sure guide that can never mislead you.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Praying As Elijah Prayed

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 14 July 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Praying As Elijah Prayed

TOPIC: Praying As Elijah Prayed (Seeds Of Destiny 14 July 2022)

SCRIPTURE: Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. James 5:17.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Elijah was a symbol of prayer in the Scripture.

MESSAGE:

In Scripture, one constant feature or attribute of Prophet Elijah was his devotion to prayer and the Word of God. No wonder he did great things in his time – calling down fire, shutting the heavens, raising the dead and compelling a nation to recognise the Lordship and Supremacy of God.

Elijah’s secret was that he was a man of prayer and the Word.
James 5:17 says,
Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

Elijah was a symbol of prayer in the Scripture. He was so dedicated to God in prayer that he prayed down fire from heaven.

1 Kings 18:36-38 says,
And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

From this Scripture, we understand that Elijah prayed the Word of God. This means he was also a man of the Word. He knew God’s Word and prayed it out. He acted God’s Word. So, Elijah was both a man of prayer and a man of the word.

Beloved, maintain a consistent schedule of prayer and the study of the Word of God.

Remember this: Elijah was a symbol of prayer in the Scripture.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Prioritize the practice of prayer and the study of the Word.
  2. Be consistent in your devotional life of prayer and the study of the Word.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I ask for a fresh impartation of the Spirit of supplication, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – He Who Controls The Soul

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 14 July 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — He Who Controls The Soul

TOPIC: He Who Controls The Soul (DCLM Daily Manna 14 July 2022)

TEXT: Proverbs 21:1-15 (KJV)

1 The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.

3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

4 An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.

5 The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.

6 The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.

7 The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.

8 The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.

9 It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.

10 The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.

11 When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.

12 The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.

13 Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.

14 A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.

15 It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

KEY VERSE: “The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will” (Proverbs 21:1).

MESSAGE:

The stamp of infallible divine wisdom shows up everywhere one turns in the book of Proverbs. The Lord intended it so to remind us that He is the Source of all that Solomon was inspired to write. He reminds us through these sayings that, indeed, He gave to Solomon what he requested. But more than this, the Lord designed the solemn maxims to go beyond the generation of Solomon to benefit believers of our age.

Solomon in our text says we must see God in comprehensive perspectives: He not only works in the affairs of men, He also controls their activities in order to accomplish His purpose for the existence of the world. God directs the heart of the king to make him rule in the way that pleases Him. No matter what course man takes, God works behind the scene to achieve His goal and annul the plan of the wicked.

There are warnings against arrogance, pride and the use of fraudulent means to get rich. The peace one gets in a lonely place is preferable to the company of a clamorous woman in a big house. After a series of more pieces of advice, the Lord then cautions us not to ignore the cry of the poor. These destitute include the unsaved who need us to feed them with the glorious gospel.

The early period of Solomon’s reign is recorded as the peak of Israel’s economic power. He achieved this feat because he abided by the wisdom given him by God. His decline began when he forsook God’s wisdom. Man will always derail if he departs from the word of the Lord.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
God’s wisdom saves while man’s destroys.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
GENESIS 41-44

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, increase my faith and prayer power to always turn your hands to turn the hearts of people.
  2. Lord, remove every trace of depraved nature that is still manifesting in my life (Be specific)
  3. Lord, give me more grace to be manifesting only the lifestyle of a transformed man.
  4. Lord, grant us increasing wisdom to navigate this world successfully.

HYMN: Carry your Bible. (GHS 116)

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Force Of The Right Company

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 12 July 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Force Of The Right Company

TOPIC: The Force Of The Right Company (Seeds Of Destiny 12 July 2022)

SCRIPTURE: The council members were astonished as they witnessed the bold courage of Peter and John, especially when they discovered that they were just ordinary men who had never had religious training. Then they began to understand the effect Jesus had on them simply by spending time with him. Acts 4:13 (The Passion Translation)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Who you hang around with determines what hangs on you.

MESSAGE:

In life, the company you keep has a lot to do with the faith in your heart and the outcome of your life. The company you keep, who you call friend, who speaks into your life, affects your faith and ultimately affects your destiny. You can’t be the friend of a doubter, and be a believer. By being with Jesus, Peter and John stepped into a brutal dimension of faith.

Acts 4:13 says,
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Who you hang around with determines what hangs on you. Who you hang out with affects what can hang on your life. I don’t have one single friend who is a doubter. The people I associate with are those who do extra-usual, abnormal, supra ordinary things. I cannot tolerate the company of a doubter. I can’t stand someone who has a microscopic mentality. I don’t have the patience for that. No one makes small plans around me.

There was a generational faith transfer from the grandmother of Timothy to his mother and then to Timothy himself.

2 Timothy 1:5 says,
When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

Beware of who you even call, father, because your father can determine your feather spiritually. Be careful the kind of company you keep.

Remember this: Who you hang around with determines what hangs on you.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. By all means, avoid the wrong company.
  2. Keep the right, positive and godly company.

PRAYER: Father, I ask for the grace to keep godly and positive company. Help me to disconnect from every negative influence in my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Limiting God

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 12 July 2022 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Limiting God

TOPIC: Limiting God (DCLM Daily Manna 12 July 2022)

TEXT: Jeremiah 25:12-29 (KJV)

12 And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the Lord, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.

13 And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.

14 For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.

15 For thus saith the Lord God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.

16 And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.

17 Then took I the cup at the Lord’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the Lord had sent me:

18 To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;

19 Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;

20 And all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod,

21 Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon,

22 And all the kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea,

23 Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that are in the utmost corners,

24 And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert,

25 And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,

26 And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.

27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.

28 And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.

29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of hosts.

KEY VERSE: “And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink” (JEREMIAH 25:28).

MESSAGE:

Many do not get to know the omnipotence of God until they are mired in near-death adversity. They call upon Him and He mercifully delivers them. That drives them to acknowledge that there is indeed an all-powerful Lord. Others, like Saul of Tarsus, would only come to know Him when He intercepts them as they head for a distant land to persecute His people.

In Jeremiah’s day, the godless nations in the Palestine region, which felt that the sovereignty of the God of Israel was limited to Jewish territory, experienced His rule over all the universe. After the Lord gave a charge to Babylon to conquer Judah and exile its citizens as punishment for its sin against Him, He sent Jeremiah to deliver a message to other countries outside Israel. They were to drink God’s “wine cup of… fury”. It was heaven’s judgment against the surrounding nations that maltreated Israel.

God would always deal with His people when they act contrary to His will. But to prove that He was not a regional God, He would not be indifferent to the ungodly works of those outside the orbit of Israel. If He did not, those nations would think that the God of Israel was impotent, with no authority over them.

The God of Israel is the God of all flesh who exercises control over all. Whether unbelievers acknowledge Him or not does not detract from His omnipotence. He has an appointed time to terminate man’s evil system. Then would He punish His enemies and reward those who acknowledge Him as the omnipotent Lord.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
God is unstoppable!

TREM Devotional – Fill Your Heart With Good Treasure

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 11 July 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Fill Your Heart With Good Treasure

TOPIC: Fill Your Heart With Good Treasure (TREM Devotional 11 July 2022)

“A good man out the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of evil treasure bringeth forth evil things” Matthew 12:35 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

If somebody is around you and keeps saying all manner of evil: how bad and difficult things are, how things will not work, how everyone is against you and him, pretty soon, as your mind is being bombarded, you will begin to meditate on negative things. It is dangerous to just think you can walk with any type of person.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart will produce good results. The good treasure speaks of what he has stored, the good things he has heard, the type of picture that has been painted, and what he has inscribed and rooted in his spirit.

Do you know that you can be in an organization that has been a tremendous blessing to you, then suddenly somebody begins to paint a very bad picture about that same organization and you will see yourself gravitating negatively to the wrong things? From that moment, you will never see any good thing in that same place that has been a blessing in your life. It is very important, therefore, that you are very careful about who you allow into your life, so you don’t miss the destiny that God has ordained for you. The book of Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he… And in the book of Romans 12:2, Paul says; “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

When you begin to think on God’s word, you are headed towards God’s destiny for your life. When you make up your mind, that it is only what God thinks and says about you that matters, and not what somebody else has said concerning you, your steps are directed. The steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord and he delights in his path.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Value Of A Soul

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 11 July 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Value Of A Soul

TOPIC: The Value Of A Soul (Seeds Of Destiny 11 July 2022)

SCRIPTURE: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Mark 8:36-37.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: In the Sight of God, the weight of a man’s soul is heavier than the weight of the whole world.

MESSAGE:

The Scripture makes it clear that it is not the will of God for anyone to perish. 2 Peter 3:9 says,

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

This is why God did not spare His only begotten Son; He sent Him to die so that all can be saved.

Romans 8:32 says,
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

God sent His Son, Jesus to die because of the value He attaches to the soul of man. Every soul has a great worth and value in the Sight of God.

In the Sight of God, the weight of the soul of a man is heavier than the weight of the whole world. Every single sinner you see on the street is heavier than the weight of the whole world. This is why Mark 8:36-37 says:

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

So, a man’s soul is heavier than the whole world. It cost God so much to save the souls of men. This is one major reason why we must win souls.

The salvation of souls is the heartbeat of God. If you want God to be interested in what interests you, you must be interested in what interests Him. Soul winning is God’s Interest.

Remember this: In the Sight of God, the weight of a man’s soul is heavier than the weight of the whole world.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. See every soul the way God sees them.
  2. Let the value of souls make you win them for God.

DCLM Daily Manna – Just Like Jesus

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 11 July 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Just Like Jesus

TOPIC: Just Like Jesus (DCLM Daily Manna 11 July 2022)

TEXT: Joshua 19:40-51 (KJV)

40 And the seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families.

41 And the coast of their inheritance was Zorah, and Eshtaol, and Irshemesh,

42 And Shaalabbin, and Ajalon, and Jethlah,

43 And Elon, and Thimnathah, and Ekron,

44 And Eltekeh, and Gibbethon, and Baalath,

45 And Jehud, and Beneberak, and Gathrimmon,

46 And Mejarkon, and Rakkon, with the border before Japho.

47 And the coast of the children of Dan went out too little for them: therefore the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father.

48 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities with their villages.

49 When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them:

50 According to the word of the Lord they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnathserah in mount Ephraim: and he built the city, and dwelt therein.

51 These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made an end of dividing the country.

KEY VERSE: “When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them” (Joshua 19:49).

MESSAGE:

The new leader of a country was taking over during a most difficult time in the long history of his nation. His predecessor had left a battered legacy that had desecrated the office, which had made many to wonder if the country would ever regain the global honour bequeathed it over the decades. The helmsman realised his own integrity was also at stake. So, he spoke touchingly to his countrymen and women: he would be guided by the power of example and not by the example of power.

Joshua possessed such gifted carriage that made him serve the Lord so selflessly. In spite of his position, he was not tempted to grab any choice plot when dividing the land among the tribes. He ensured that others were first served, according to the way the Lord wanted it. Finally, the Almighty God showed His own faithfulness by telling the Israelites to reward Joshua with a portion of land. There is power in generous leadership in ministry that challenges God to bless His servants.

Many Christians today claim that they are entitled to first place when it comes to material benefits. They turn the Scriptures upside down as they insist that they must drink of the milk of the flock. They forget that a leader is expected to give and serve selflessly as Jesus and His apostles did.

In the early church, the heathen clearly saw the exemplary lives of the disciples that led to them being called ‘Christians’ (little Christs) as they noticed no dissimilarities between their comportment and that of their Master. Like Christ, they were not after power, fame or worldly authority. They served faithfully and received His reward in due time.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
God rewards His ministers who serve themselves last.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Genesis 32-34

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, give me the revelation of the best I can be and put that ambition in me.
  2. Lord, plant in me the strong desire never to be satisfied with mediocrity or anything less than you plan for me.
  3. Oh God, visit me with the power, courage and ability to pursue my God given zenith without being tired.
  4. God, teach our leaders, secular or spiritual, the principle of serving others and faithfulness to that calling.

HYMN: Give me a double portion.(GHS 154)

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Dividends Of Understanding

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 9 July 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Dividends Of Understanding

TOPIC: The Dividends Of Understanding (Seeds Of Destiny 9 July 2022)

SCRIPTURE: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, Ephesians 1:18.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Understanding is a major channel of faith, and faith is the secret of results in life.

MESSAGE:

In our previous study, we saw understanding as a critical requirement for outstanding existence in life. How far you can go is a function of what you know; how high you can fly in life is also a product of your understanding.

Now, what are the benefits of understanding?
i. Understanding is a major channel of faith, and faith is the secret of results in life.
Understanding is a channel of faith and faith brings results. Things don’t just happen. We don’t see results just because we do things; we see results because we understand what should be the outcome of our action.

For example, you don’t just experience open heavens just because you tithed; rather, you experience open heavens because you understand that your tithe will produce result. There are people in villages or rural areas who have been tithing for many years, but still lack the understanding of what the tithe is all about. Though they tithe faithfully, they still struggle with poverty because they don’t have the understanding or revelation behind tithing. So, it is very important for us not just to do things but do them with the right understanding.

iv. Understanding is the birth place of commitment.
Anywhere there is commitment, there is also a depth of understanding. One reason why many people are lethargic in their commitment to God and His service is that they are deficient in the understanding of the covenant benefits of Kingdom service. If you know that it pays to serve God passionately in soul winning, no one would beg you to win souls. You should always understand that there is nothing a man gives to God that is a loss, whether it is his time, resources, or energy. There is nothing a man does for God that is without rewards (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Remember this: Understanding is a major channel of faith, and faith is the secret of results in life.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind and go for understanding. Go for knowledge, especially the knowledge of the Word of God.
  2. Make up your mind to break free from every spell of ignorance.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You open my eyes of understanding. Help me to behold wondrous things out of Your Word, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – When Man’s History Doesn’t Help

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 9 July 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — When Man’s History Doesn’t Help

TOPIC: When Man’s History Doesn’t Help (DCLM Daily Manna 9 July 2022)

TEXT: Joshua 19:17-23 (KJV)

17 And the fourth lot came out to Issachar, for the children of Issachar according to their families.

18 And their border was toward Jezreel, and Chesulloth, and Shunem,

19 And Haphraim, and Shihon, and Anaharath,

20 And Rabbith, and Kishion, and Abez,

21 And Remeth, and Engannim, and Enhaddah, and Bethpazzez;

22 And the coast reacheth to Tabor, and Shahazimah, and Bethshemesh; and the outgoings of their border were at Jordan: sixteen cities with their villages.

23 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages.

KEY VERSE: “This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages.” – (Joshua 19:23)

MESSAGE:

The descendants of Issachar, Jacob’s fifth son, were reputed to possess the rare gift of “understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do” (1 Chronicles 12:32). The Israelites counted on Issachar to interpret the signs of the times to guide them in obeying the Lord. By the time Joshua was allotting lands to the twelve tribes of Israel, the children of Issachar were gifted more blessings in their allotted territories with rich history.

Issachar’s lot harboured notable places of history. One was Jezreel, in which Ahab had his palace. Another was Shunem, the scene of great miracles by Prophet Elisha. Then, there was the River Kishon. It was on its banks Deborah and Barak defeated Sisera, the enemy of Israel. This lot also produced the mountains of Gilboa, where Saul and Jonathan were slain.

But, alas, these colourful antecedents did not translate into rich spiritual prowess for the latter generations of the tribe of Issachar. Their borders got them close to the cultures and teachings of the heathen whose strange philosophies are alien to the laws of Jehovah. The tribe of Issachar prospered materially, but got lost spiritually.

The tragedy of man today, like Issachar centuries ago, is that he is easily moved by that which would make him to be recognised by man’s history books and not God’s book of life. Heaven will recognise only those who aspire to make history in God’s records through meekness in His service, not those who seek personal glory here on earth.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
It is God’s narrative that counts, not man’s.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Genesis 26-28

Prayer Points:

  1. I praise you Lord for my tribe and her divinely imparted blessings.
  2. Lord, let those gifts and blessings be manifesting in my life.
  3. Lord, I hereby separate from every influence and dominion of evil territorial spirits of my tribe by your grace and power.
  4. Lord, let the lifestyle, the culture and the glory of Christ be manifesting in the lives of your children.

HYMN: Let others see Jesus in you.(GHS 49)

TREM Devotional – We Are Citizens Of Heaven

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 8 July 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – We Are Citizens Of Heaven

TOPIC: We Are Citizens Of Heaven (TREM Devotional 8 July 2022)

“But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.” Philippians 3:20 (NLT)

MESSAGE:

As believers, our citizenship is of heaven. That is where we come from. We are not of this world though we are in this world. When we are out of this world, then the devil can begin to do what he wants. When the world powers are manipulating and conspiring, remember that you are a citizen of heaven. Your end has already been determined. You are not going to partake of their wickedness. No, you will not.

Every time the scripture talks about the evacuation of the believer from this material realm, it is with joy. It is something that should bring joy to you and not anger or fear. Jesus speaking in the book of John 5:24 says: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life”. You already have eternal life. You are a citizen of heaven.

The book of 1 John 5:11 says “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son”. This record is already sealed and delivered. You have life, not death. You must arm yourself with this truth. You have to have a knowing. It is not a play on words. It is not a probability. It is not an assumption. It is the truth.

Beloved, you are not in any way in the same boat as those without Christ. You are totally separated and there’s no way you will suffer the same wrath they will go through. You have been delivered from the wrath to come. This is an assurance we have from the word of God. If you have received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, ensure that you appropriate everything that He died for and everything He has given to you.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Attitude Of Enquiry

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 8 July 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Attitude Of Enquiry

TOPIC: The Attitude Of Enquiry (Seeds Of Destiny 8 July 2022)

SCRIPTURE: Thus, saith the Lord, stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, we will not walk therein. Jeremiah 6:16.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Until questions are asked, answers are never accessed. The right questions give rise to the right answers.

MESSAGE:

The attitude of enquiry is an important posture or positioning for hearing God or receiving Divine direction.

The attitude of enquiry refers to the capacity to ask questions, relevant questions.
Jeremiah 6:16 says,

Thus, saith the Lord, stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, we will not walk therein.

The Scripture says, stand and ask.
Matthew 7:7-8 says,

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Beloved, always understand that answers are the products of questions. Until questions are asked, answers are never accessed. The right questions give rise to the right answers.
So, don’t be afraid to ask God questions because God is looking for whom to answer. At the place of prayer, Abraham asked God questions and God answered him. (Genesis 18:23-26).

David also asked God several questions and God answered him. 1 Samuel 30:8 says,
And David inquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

On another occasion, David enquired of God again. He heard that Saul was coming to Keilah, so, he asked God if the people of Keilah would deliver him into the hands of Saul and God answered him. (1 Samuel 23:10-13).

Beloved, maintain the attitude of enquiry. God is willing to give you Direction when you ask Him with a humble heart.

Remember this: Until questions are asked, answers are never accessed. The right questions give rise to the right answers.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to seek the Mind of God over any issue you may be dealing with.
  2. Maintain a humble disposition before God in order to hear from Him.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your willingness to speak to me. I ask for the Spirit of humility to approach You always, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Timeless Precepts

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 8 July 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Timeless Precepts

TOPIC: Timeless Precepts (DCLM Daily Manna 8 July 2022)

TEXT: Proverbs 20:16-30 (KJV)

16 Take his garment that is surety for a stranger: and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.

17 Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.

18 Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.

19 He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips.

20 Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.

21 An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed.

22 Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the Lord, and he shall save thee.

23 Divers weights are an abomination unto the Lord; and a false balance is not good.

24 Man’s goings are of the Lord; how can a man then understand his own way?

25 It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.

26 A wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them.

27 The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

28 Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy.

29 The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the grey head.

30 The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.

KEY VERSE: “Man’s goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?” (PROVERBS 20:24).

MESSAGE:

Thousands of years after King Hezekiah considered it a worthy project to commission the collection of the proverbs of Solomon, many are still receiving profitable guidance from Spirit-guided sayings. Even in his time, Solomon’s proverbs were precious. Many, including an influential Queen of Sheba, travelled to Jerusalem to get firsthand knowledge of the fame of Solomon’s wisdom and riches.

Some of the proverbs in our text reveal why the fame of Solomon in the Israelites’ history contributed to the acceptance of his teachings. Verse 24 establishes the divine source of Solomon’s words which have made them timeless and priceless precepts for all ages. His proverbs apply to both the rulers and their subjects. He teaches that mercy and truth preserves the ruler. Also, we must not recompense evil, but leave vengeance in the hands of God.

Solomon possessed such gems as a young king. He knew the place of wisdom in running the affairs of state in a land that had God as its supreme Leader. No wonder it pleased the Lord to grant his request when he pleaded for wisdom.

However, “a greater than Solomon” has since emerged. He is Jesus Christ, the “Wisdom of God”. We must seek Him above all other needs. He declares, “For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. But…all they that hate me love death” (Proverbs 8:35, 36).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
God grants wisdom to those who diligently seek it for His work.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Genesis 24-25

Prayer Points:

  1. Oh Lord, let me be growing in your wisdom daily.
  2. Father give me the heart and attitude of a ready and willing learner.
  3. Lord, rid my inner being of all tendencies to deceive and cheat others.
  4. Lord, impart true wisdom into the hearts of our leaders and let them lead us in the true wisdom of God.

HYMN: Thy word is a lamb to my feet. (GHS 83)

TREM Devotional – We Win All The Time

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 7 July 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – We Win All The Time

TOPIC: We Win All The Time (TREM Devotional 7 July 2022)

“Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.” 1 Samuel 17:51 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Goliath was brought down, and David went and stood on top of him. That is our position! Our position is to stand on top of our challenges based on what Christ has done for us. He took Goliath’s sword, the weapon in which Goliath trusted, and cut off his head.

Paul captures the victory of Christ in the book of Colossians 2:15 thus: “He spoiled principalities and powers, and made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it” He made a public display for everyone to see that the enemy of mankind had been defeated.

So, our battle is a fixed battle. We win all the time. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 2:14: “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place”.

Now…! Not after the battle is won. Now that Jesus Christ has defeated the devil! We triumph always. And we display His love everywhere we go. Now that the battle is won, that is where we come in and for the spoil. Remember that the children of Israel did not fight the battle. But as soon as David finished the battle, they went after the Philistines and they spoiled their tents. “And the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines…and they spoiled their tents.” (1Samuel 17:52-53).

That is what is expected of everyone who has received Christ. They arose from doubt, from unbelief, from fear, from intimidation, from manipulation, and distress. They arose and shouted! It was the shout of victory. That is your assignment. Spoil the tents of the enemy and take what God has given to you. Take your promotion! Take your Victory! Take the miracle! Take your breakthrough! It has been given to you through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
