DCLM Daily Manna – Speak Out!

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 13 May 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Speak Out!

TOPIC: Speak Out! (DCLM Daily Manna 13 May 2022)

TEXT: Luke 12:1-12 (KJV)

1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

KEY VERSE: “In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.” – (Luke 12:1)

MESSAGE:

Those who are mightily used of God do not declare their convictions in secret. They make an open show of their belief and damn the consequences! For instance, when Martin Luther was brought before the Diet of Worms, he refused to take back his teachings and was declared a heretic by the emperor. It was at that gathering that he declared; “here I stand, I can do no other,” and then concluded with “God help me.”

In our text, our Lord Jesus addressed His disciples openly, warning and encouraging them on how to go about their ministry. Although He knew that there were some Pharisees in the gathering who must have come to find fault, Jesus openly told His disciples, “Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees”. He identified the leaven as the insincere religiosity of the Pharisees. He spoke openly, condemning the hypocrisy that had become the norm among them.

This should challenge us as believers not to become silent and allow evil to thrive before us. Jesus did not care what the Pharisees could do to Him. Even though He knew they would eventually kill Him, He never massaged their ego. Like Christ, we should learn to speak against evil openly, regardless of the consequences.

We must be the true sons and daughters of our Father. As Jesus represented His Father so well while on earth, we must not do less because we are the true representatives of Christ today.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Never keep mute in the face of opposition.

TREM Devotional – Trust God

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 12 May 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Trust God

TOPIC: Trust God (TREM Devotional 12 May 2022)

“But those of us who trust God do enjoy his special place of rest…” Hebrews 4:3 (EASY)

MESSAGE:

It is no longer news that there is so much anxiety, uncertainty, and difficulty in our world today. But Jesus tells us in John 16:33 that despite the challenges, we should be of good cheer because He has overcome the world. Therefore, we can confidently expect all things, both good and bad, to work out for our good. Jesus has deprived this world of the power to harm you, He has conquered the world for you and me, and that is why you can rest in Him.

The entire Hebrews Chapter 4 lets us know that God has prepared a place of rest for His children. God never intended for His children to suffer and struggle, but rather to overcome in every area of life. However, to get in on this plan, and into this rest, we must believe. We must believe that God is who He says He is. And He is faithful to His Word. The issue of belief is one that a lot of people struggle with because it goes against the world systems. According to the world, seeing is believing; but in the kingdom of God, believing is seeing.

Our text states very clearly that those who will enjoy this special place of rest must trust God. I was meditating over this issue of trust and it occurred to me that we most likely do not understand the integrity of who is at stake here. We are talking about the God of the entire universe, the maker of heaven and earth, the alpha, and the omega. If we can truly understand who this God is, and His integrity, it will be easier for us to trust. That is why we must continue to pursue intimacy with God so that we can understand who He is and learn to trust Him. Child of God, amid the chaos, there is a place of rest for you. Goshen in Exodus 8:22-23 was a type of rest. What God has ordained for us is much better than that. But you must trust Him.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Revelation And Direction For Preservation

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 12 May 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Revelation And Direction For Preservation

TOPIC: Revelation And Direction For Preservation (Seeds Of Destiny 12 May 2022)

SCRIPTURE: And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. 1 Kings 17:2-3

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Where instruction is lacking, destruction is abundant.

MESSAGE:

The Scriptures make it clear that there is a direct relationship between Divine direction or revelation and Divine preservation. That is why, the more divinely directed you are, the more protected you are. The more directed you are, the more delivered you are. Divine direction or revelation is key to Divine deliverance.

On the other hand, where instruction is lacking, destruction is abundant (Hosea 4:6). Where the people lack knowledge, they cannot lack disaster.

Now, let us look at Elijah as one scriptural example of people who experienced preservation as a result of Divine direction. God delivered Elijah from the wicked Ahab and Jezebel by Divine direction.

1 Kings 17:2-3 says, And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide (That is, ‘you can call down fire but there is a time to hide’) thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

God seemed to have told Elijah, “I am the only One who knows why I want you to hide. I am not saying you lack faith now; I am only saying, you should use your faith for other more important things. This time is the time to hide.”

That instruction delivered Elijah. But if Elijah had said: “Oh! I have already shut the heavens and there is no rain falling. Any devil who wants to dare me can come.” Then he may have been cut short before his time.

Beloved, Divine direction is the aversion of destruction. satanic destruction of lives can be averted by the force of Divine direction.

I announce to you today, by Divine direction, no devil can cut you short before your time.

Remember this: Where instruction is lacking, destruction is abundant.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

  1. Let God lead you in all things; enquire from God before you take a step.
  2. Refuse to be led by the flesh; ensure the direction you receive is in line with God’s Word.
  3. Pay attention to the preaching in Church; your word of direction can come through the preached Word.

PRAYER: Lord, You are my Shepherd. I ask that You lead me through Your perfect Will to the place You want me to be in life and destiny, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: REVELATION AND DIRECTION FOR PRESERVATION

DAILY BIBLE READING: Psalm 10-12

QUOTE: You ride the storm by the Word of instruction. Out of revelation comes instruction. A revelation is pregnant with instructions. Culled from “RIDING THE STORMS OF LIFE” by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT: Monarch caterpillars breathe through holes in the sides of their bodies.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: You shall not be destroyed before your time in Jesus Name. God’s Word of direction is coming to shield you from the traps of the enemy in Jesus Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – His Ways Are Higher

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 12 May 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — His Ways Are Higher

TOPIC: His Ways Are Higher (DCLM Daily Manna 12 May 2022)

TEXT: Job 24:1-13 (KJV)

1 Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?

2 Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof.

3 They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow’s ox for a pledge.

4 They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.

5 Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children.

6 They reap every one his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked.

7 They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.

8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.

9 They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.

10 They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf from the hungry;

11 Which make oil within their walls, and tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.

12 Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly to them.

13 They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.

KEY VERSE: “Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly to them.” – (Job 24:12)

MESSAGE:

The Deism School of thought says after the Lord created the world, He went away and left man on his own to run the planet the way it suits him. Deists say this explains why the wicked are in charge with impunity, with no power to check them. They believe God has left His watch.

Following the death of his children, sickness and heavy losses in business, Job asked to know why the Lord was far from him. After all, he has served Him all his life and deserves to be rewarded for his holy walk with Him. Pondering over his condition, he says of the godless, “They turn the needy out of the way…They pluck the fatherless from the breast…They…rebel against the light.”

Yet, there is an appointed time for the conclusion of the rule of evil people on earth. The Lord says, “I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible” (Isaiah 13:11). The wicked shall be consumed by the whirlwind of wickedness except they repent from their evil ways.

The Lord calls the believer to remain righteous, especially in these perilous times when many are departing from holy living. No matter what happens around us, we should not question God and His system of justice. We must bear in mind that His ways are far higher than ours. We must pray for faith to embrace His promises under any circumstances, knowing that He will never leave nor forsake us.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Our good God will fulfil His good thoughts towards us.

TREM Devotional – Be Established In Him

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 11 May 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Be Established In Him

TOPIC: Be Established In Him (TREM Devotional 11 May 2022)

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him; rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7 (NKJV)

MESSAGE:

Beloved, the days are gone when as a believer you still play church. Today, the devil is out of his closet. He is roaming the streets in full view, not being secretive about his person or assignment. The incidences of evil manifestations around the world are alarming. And just as the Bible said, the church is not left out. There is a prevalence of many wolves dressed as sheep. There are false prophets and teachers standing behind the sacred desk and desecrating God’s altars. It is both alarming painful. But the most unfortunate thing is that many will be deceived by these false prophets and magicians that we see all over the place and fall as prey to the enemy. That is what the Bible says. So, the question is: “How can you escape this corruption that is in the world today?” The answer is to be rooted and established in Him. That’s the only way.

From the scripture today, Apostle Paul admonished the Colossian church that having received Christ, to follow the path that He has laid down, in general, life conduct and behavior. Here the believer is likened to a tree. A tree of righteousness! The word “rooted” in this context means “to become stable”. So, what was the scripture saying? That as a believer, recognize that Christ is your root. And you derive all your life, nourishment, and fruitfulness from Him, as long as you remain in Him.

Beloved, if you are going to be deeply rooted, continually built up, and established in the faith, then you must be taught. God in His wisdom has raised bible believing churches as a platform for equipping His people. So that you are continually built, deeply rooted, and established in the knowledge of Him. These are the things that will ensure that you do not fall as a prey in these last days. God will come through for you, and you shall not see shame.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Connecting God’s Excellence By Walking With Him

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 11 May 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Connecting God’s Excellence By Walking With Him

TOPIC: Connecting God’s Excellence By Walking With Him (Seeds Of Destiny 11 May 2022)

SCRIPTURE: Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: He is excellent in power, and in judgment, And in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. Job 37:23

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Everything about God speaks excellence.

MESSAGE:

Scriptures make it clear that we serve the God of excellence. Everything about God speaks excellence. He is excellent in power (Job 37:23). He is excellent in loving-kindness (Psalms 36:7). So, we serve the God Who is not only excellent but great in excellence (Exodus 15:7).

We have examples of God’s excellence at creation. First, the creation of man was a demonstration of excellence. When you look at the creation of man, the uniqueness and the individuality of each person could only have happened by an excellent God. No two persons have the same thumbprint, not even the most identical twins. There are billions of people in the world and God did not repeat a thumbprint.

And if you go through Scriptures, you will realize that everyone who identified with God exploded in excellence. For example, Joseph was a man who had a walking relationship with God, and he was excellent (Genesis 39:21, Genesis 41:39). What was the outcome of Joseph’s walk with God? There were many magicians, scientists, and those who claimed to be interpreters of dreams in Egypt but Joseph stood out; he was on top, he excelled in his assignment, gift and talent. No unbeliever saw his brake light (Genesis 41:39).

In the world of science and invention, at least 99% of all inventions in the world came out of minds that were fertilized by God – Isaac Newton, the father of Mechanics, Michael Faraday of Electrolysis, etc.

Beloved, as a doctor, lawyer, businessman, businesswoman, etc. who knows God, you are not permitted to have a contemporary that matches up to you if the excellence of God is at work in your life.

Remember this: Everything about God speaks excellence.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

  1. Renew and upgrade your mind daily with God’s Word.
  2. Deliver excellence in all you do.
  3. Maintain a sound relationship with God at the place of prayer and worship.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to walk in excellence. Let what I do bring glory to Your Name at the frequency of excellence, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – A Greater Pull

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 11 May 2022 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — A Greater Pull

TOPIC: A Greater Pull (DCLM Daily Manna 11 May 2022)

TEXT: Luke 11:29-36 (KJV)

29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.

30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.

31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

32 The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

KEY VERSE: “For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.” – (Luke 11:30)

MESSAGE:

After considering the lives of two well-known personalities in the Old Testament, our Lord Jesus Christ began to address issues of immediate concern which had eternal consequences. He pegged His comments on Solomon and Jonah, who had remarkable testimonies to pull crowds.

As He recalled their deeds, the Lord said He, the Messiah, commanded greater signs not only in His generation but for all generations till the Judgment Day. When they called for signs, He referred them to Jonah’s three-day stay in the belly of the fish and his preaching that led Nineveh to repentance. And a royal personality left a distant kingdom at the pull of Solomon’s wisdom. Now, Christ among them was greater than these two; yet the Jews rejected Him. On the last day, those who benefited from Solomon and Jonah, two lesser men, would condemn them for rejecting the greater King and Prophet.

Like the Jews, many in the world today are also walking in darkness as a result of their refusal to receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. In verse 36, the Lord calls for the fullness of His doctrine in our lives. That is the way to escape the condemnation of the generations of the queen of the south and Nineveh.

God has rested the power for salvation of man in His Son, Jesus Christ. We do not need to wait for signs and wonders outside Him. Man needs no agent from below or above to convince us of the certainty of Christ’s lordship. He is the centre point of all the prophets and emissaries that have come from God.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Embrace Christ, the greatest of all wonders.

TREM Devotional – You Are Righteous

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 10 May 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – You Are Righteous

TOPIC: You Are Righteous (TREM Devotional 10 May 2022)

“…and become one with him. I no longer count my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.” – Philippians 3:9 (NLT)

MESSAGE:

One of the reasons why today’s Church is falling short of the manifestation of God’s power and glory, especially in these last days, is because we have failed to embrace our identity in Christ. And until you embrace your identity, you cannot function in the power therein. No wonder Paul dedicated a good portion of his letters to the different Churches, to teaching and establishing the saints on this important truth of our righteousness which is by faith in Christ Jesus.

Child of God, the moment you received Jesus as Lord of your life, your nature and location changed forever. The once sinner has become the righteousness of God. And is, therefore, seated far above in Christ.

One of the things you must settle in your heart if you will truly operate in the power and glory that God has released upon His Church in these last days is that you are not righteous as a result of your actions or inactions. There is nothing you can do to earn God’s righteousness; not now, not ever! Righteousness is a gift! Only made possible because of Christ’s sacrifice at the Cross. Righteousness is the nature of the believer and it is imputed from the moment you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It is having right standing before God. Standing before God without any sense of sin, shame, guilt, reproach, condemnation, or inferiority complex.

When you have a revelation of your righteousness, it will enable you to live a victorious Christian life. You will understand that all the promises that accrue to the righteous in the scriptures are yours. You will also understand that no matter what happens, you can boldly approach God and expect to receive an answer. Your understanding of your righteousness in Christ shores you up, such that even when you make a mistake, instead of running away from God, you will run to Him, because you know that His arms are open wide to receive you. That is why it is important to be established in righteousness.
