DCLM Daily Manna – Condition For God’s Abiding Presence

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 21 December 2021 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Condition For God’s Abiding Presence

TOPIC: Condition For God’s Abiding Presence

TEXT: Judges 1:21-36 (KJV)

21 And the children of Benjamin did not drive out the Jebusites that inhabited Jerusalem; but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Benjamin in Jerusalem unto this day.

22 And the house of Joseph, they also went up against Bethel: and the Lord was with them.

23 And the house of Joseph sent to descry Bethel. (Now the name of the city before was Luz.)

24 And the spies saw a man come forth out of the city, and they said unto him, Shew us, we pray thee, the entrance into the city, and we will shew thee mercy.

25 And when he shewed them the entrance into the city, they smote the city with the edge of the sword; but they let go the man and all his family.

26 And the man went into the land of the Hittites, and built a city, and called the name thereof Luz: which is the name thereof unto this day.

27 Neither did Manasseh drive out the inhabitants of Bethshean and her towns, nor Taanach and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns: but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.

28 And it came to pass, when Israel was strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, and did not utterly drive them out.

29 Neither did Ephraim drive out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwelt in Gezer among them.

30 Neither did Zebulun drive out the inhabitants of Kitron, nor the inhabitants of Nahalol; but the Canaanites dwelt among them, and became tributaries.

31 Neither did Asher drive out the inhabitants of Accho, nor the inhabitants of Zidon, nor of Ahlab, nor of Achzib, nor of Helbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rehob:

32 But the Asherites dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land: for they did not drive them out.

33 Neither did Naphtali drive out the inhabitants of Bethshemesh, nor the inhabitants of Bethanath; but he dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land: nevertheless the inhabitants of Bethshemesh and of Bethanath became tributaries unto them.

34 And the Amorites forced the children of Dan into the mountain: for they would not suffer them to come down to the valley:

35 But the Amorites would dwell in mount Heres in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim: yet the hand of the house of Joseph prevailed, so that they became tributaries.

36 And the coast of the Amorites was from the going up to Akrabbim, from the rock, and upward.

KEY VERSE: “And the house of Joseph, they also went up against Bethel: and the LORD was with them.” – (Judges 1:22)

MESSAGE:

When Leonard Wood, a physician who served as the Chief of Staff of the United States Army visited the king of France, he got a special invitation to have a dinner with him the next day. A man of innate humility, Wood gladly honoured the invitation without formal expression. But the king, who was taken back when he saw him, asked, “Why, Sir Leonard? I did not expect to see you. How is it that you are here? Wood was surprisingly embarrassed and queried: “Did not Your Majesty invite me to dine with you? The king replied, “Yes, but you did not answer my invitation”. Then, Wood uttered, “A king’s invitation is never to be answered, but to be obeyed”.

God through Moses had instructed Israel as they possessed the Promised Land not to spare the former inhabitants of the land but to utterly destroy them so that they would not corrupt them. From the text, the house of Joseph obeyed completely and destroyed the city of Luz and renamed it Bethel. Therefore, the Lord was with them in their battles.

Obeying God is often a struggle to many. This is because more often, it always involves parting ways with something precious to us. The Bible expressly commands us, believers, to make God first in everything we do. He must always be the first recourse and not the last. Then it will be easy to obey His words. We also need the grace of God which comes through salvation.

Those who fail to acknowledge God in all they do, run the risk of being abandoned by Him at the hour they need Him most. We must therefore be obedient to His words in return for His faithfulness and continued presence in our lives.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Those who fail to obey God, risk being abandoned by heaven.

[Music + Video] Daddy, You Too Much – Judikay

Daddy, You Too Much - Judikay

Judikay takes the final drip of the year with a solidified and soul sanctifying soul melody labeled, “Daddy, You Too Much.”

Just as the title makes reasonable meaning, the song talks about the huge things God has done in the life of Judikay where she thanked him profusely for his mercy and blessings.

Judikay takes the last sweat of the year and she’s the only one who is ending 2021 with a song from their mother imprint EeZee Conceptz.

The last time we heard from Judikay was a few weeks back where she introduced a wonderful masterpiece to us named, “Your Grace“; indeed she is a wonderful gospel singer and her vocals defines more emotions.

Conclusively, Judikay will be making her studio opus magnum available in 2022 where all works are still in progress and in capable hands. The music video of the live recording is ready and was directed by Gr33nix with some nice and catchy visuals.

“Daddy, You Too Much” has some catchy lyrics like:

“Where do i start from
How do i explain
That the owner of the universe
Came to die my death
All that i have, all I’ve received
Is because of Christ (Endless Life)
Because of Christ (Endless Love)
Only you, victory without a fight
Na you dey fight, na me dey win
I eat from what you work for
From the place of rest”

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – Pride In Your Life

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional |  Monday, December 20, 2021 | Pride In Your Life

Topic: Pride In Your Life

Date: Monday, December 20, 2021

Read: Isaiah 57:11-15

Isaiah 57:11-15  And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?

I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee.

When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;

And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

MEMORISE:

Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; though they join forces, none will go unpunished (Prov. 16:5).

EXPOSITION

Humbleness is the opposite of pride, just as light is the opposite of darkness. Those who truly serve God must do so in humbleness and not in pride of heart. Pride will prevent you from seeking the will of God and eventually place a barrier between you and God (Prov. 29:23).

God praises the humble (v. 15) and hates the proud (Prov. 8:13). This evil trait makes one to develop self-righteousness and completely block the righteousness of God from having its full and perfect operation.

There is a thin line between pride and self-esteem. Pride can make you to have an unreasonable conceit in talents, beauty, wealth, rank. etc., which can manifest itself in lofty height, distance, reserve and often contempt of others. This could cause us to desire to do things in our way against God’s will. If God shows that He hates the proud with extreme hatred, then don’t expect any prayer offered to Him to be answered until you cast pride aside and seek God in total humility.

King Nebuchadnezzar took after the devil in Isaiah 14: he believed that his kingdom was an exploit of his effort. His heart was filled with pride, and he exalted himself more than necessary. God was left with no option than to strike him and make him learn about Him in a hard way.

Cancer is a terminal disease that spread all over the body part if not quickly checked, so also pride will infest our hearts and damage our spiritual health, if we don’t check it. Kill pride before it kills you.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Lord, don’t let me see, or consider myself beyond necessary.

2. I refuse to acclaim or ascribe any glory to myself; Lord, give me the grace to know that all glory must be to You alone.

3. Lord, deliver all our leaders from “I” syndrome.

TREM Devotional – Put God First

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 20 December 2021 Daily Devotional By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Put God First

TOPIC: Put God First

“But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and all His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 (KJV)

If you have received Christ, you are to present your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God. That is your reasonable service or worship. Everything you do becomes worship to Him. Usually, we say that “in everything you do, put God first”, but the mentality we have whenever they say this is that in your priority list, God should be number one, family number two, your children number three, going to church number four and so on. However, that is a wrong concept. You don’t put God in a compartment of list; He is far bigger than your list.

Putting God first means, bringing Him into everything you do. As a believer, everything about you is Christ. Paul says in Philippians 1:21: “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (KJV). Your life is Christ, not just when you are inside the church building.

Your relationship with Jesus must reflect in all aspects of your life: in your relationship with your children, with your boss in the office, everywhere you go, Jesus must be seen. As you are serving in your restaurant, it means that Jesus is serving. As you go to the market to buy goods, Jesus is buying goods. That is how to put God first. It is not putting Him first on the list. Even in your love relationship with your husband or with your wife, Jesus must be at the centre.

In every other thing in this life, Jesus must be very visible. When you have that mentality, you will not sell fake or adulterated drugs to people. You will not package contaminated water to sell and put people’s life at risk. Jesus will do no such thing. You will not disobey the traffic light when you are driving. God said, “if you don’t praise me, the stones will cry out.” In other words, if you don’t acknowledge His Lordship, God will raise substitutes for Himself.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Root Of Bitterness

Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 20 December 2021 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Root Of Bitterness

TOPIC: The Root Of Bitterness

For as long as you live in the world, offences must come.

SCRIPTURE: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled. Hebrews 12:15

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: For as long as you live in the world, offences must come.

According to Oxford Dictionary of English, bitterness is the feeling or showing of anger, hurt or resentment because of a bad experience or a sense of unjust treatment. Now, I will define bitterness as a combination attitude of unforgiveness and deep displeasure at a wrong deed.

Bitterness is a major challenge and temptation in life’s journey that takes only the grace of God to escape. One of the roots of bitterness is unforgiveness from human wrong deed or wickedness.

Please note these:

a. For as long as you live in the world, offences must come (Matthew 18:7, Luke 17:1). If you are alive, offences must come; you will be offended. At times, it is a deliberate attempt of the enemy to decrease the quality of your life on earth. The devil would deliberately instigate and supervise some offences against you.

b. If you have any level of spirituality, you will be offended, and the aim of the offence is to ruin your spirituality through bitterness. The devil generates offences around spiritual people to break their defences. Offences come with the aim of ruining your spirituality through unforgiveness and bitterness.

c. If you have any meaningful destiny, you will be offended, and the aim of the offence is to abort your future. If you doubt it, ask Joseph. Joseph’s brothers moved against him. Someone who was a full-blooded citizen of his country was one day turned into a slave in a strange land (Genesis 37:19-20).

Beloved, if you have any future, the devil will organize offences against you. But guard your heart. Refuse to be a victim of the trap of bitterness.

Remember this: For as long as you live in the world, offences must come.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

  1. Ask God for the grace to forgive your offenders and overcome the trap of bitterness.
  2. If you are bitter with anyone, release them, pray for them, and reach out to them via a call or text message, if possible.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE TRAP OF BITTERNESS

PRAYER: Father, I ask for the grace to overcome every trap of bitterness orchestrated by the devil against me. The devil cannot ruin my spirituality by the trap of bitterness, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING: 1 Peter 3-5

QUOTE: When a person carries the nature or image of the devil in the likeness of bitterness, satan can lay claim on the life of such an individual. Culled from “AM I BITTER?” by Dr (Mrs) Becky Paul-Enenche.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: The grace to forgive is released and your destiny, you shall fulfil in Jesus’ Name.

REFLECTION: No one drinks poison and expects another to be affected by it. No one should harbour bitterness and expect the offender to be affected by it.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. DCLM Daily Manna – Everlasting Righteousness

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 20 December 2021 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Everlasting Righteousness

TOPIC: Everlasting Righteousness

TEXT: Psalm 119:137-144 (KJV)

137 Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.

138 Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful.

139 My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.

140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

141 I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts.

142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights.

144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

KEY VERSE: “Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.” – (Psalm 119:142)

MESSAGE:

From the perspectives of the Scriptures, what exalts a nation is righteousness. Not even prayers or many men of God with big titles and offices. We are quick to bring everyone together under a common umbrella to pray and intercede for our nations. Recently, online prayer chains has become a platform for Christians to come together to pray for one thing or the other without much emphasis on righteousness.

The psalmist in our text highlighted the uprightness of God’s judgment. He is described as a faithful God whose commandments are righteous and not grievous. The entire passage is dedicated to the purity and truth of God’s Word, with every verse highlighting the importance and usefulness of Scriptures. The concluding part talked about God Himself because you cannot separate Him from His words. His righteousness is said to be everlasting and His commandments very delightful.

The natural man has tried and failed many times to establish his own righteousness outside of the righteousness that comes from God. We cannot become better men by imbibing teachings of religion. If man can be saved through the practice of religion, Christ would not have died on the cross to secure man’s salvation.

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The only way, truth and fountain of life open for the salvation of mankind is Jesus, the Son of God.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Man’s righteousness is like a filthy rag before God.

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – Be A Student Of Experience

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional |  Sunday, December 19, 2021 | Be A Student Of Experience

Topic: Be A Student Of Experience

Date: Sunday, December 19, 2021

Read: 1 Samuel 17:31-37

1 Samuel 17:31-37  And when the words were heard which David spake, they rehearsed them before Saul: and he sent for him.

And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.

And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.

And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:

And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.

Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.

David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.

MEMORISE:

So the king of Israel answered and said, “Tell him, Let not the one who puts on his armour boast Iike the one who takes it off” (1 Kings 20:11)

EXPOSITION

One of the prerequisites for success in life is for us to gather all our past experiences and let them serve as teachers to guide us along the way. We cannot rule out experiences in acquiring wisdom. We acquire wisdom through the experiences we pass through in life. According to our today’s key text, a warrior that is still dressing for battle should not boast like a warrior who has already won. Experience must make the difference. But failure occurs when we fail in learning from our past experiences.

When the young man, David, made an attempt to go and fight with Goliath, Saul thought that David was inexperienced to face the battle. The scripture says, “And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this philistine to fight with him; for you are youth, and he a man of war from his youth” (1 Sam. 17:33). Here Saul thought that David lacked experiences to face Goliath who had been in the game for years. He did not know that David, too, had gathered his Own experiences for that very day when he was all alone in the desert with different challenges (vv. 34-37). The experiences you gather today is what you will use to face your future challenges. Do not complain during challenges.

David used his past experiences to fight with Goliath and he won. He did not run away from the lion and the bear. He took the responsibility to protect his father’s flock that is why he was able to face Goliath and he who killed Goliath will become the king. And as for you, he who kills the Goliath of your family will become the king over others. Will you be the one? Do not run away from the process. You cannot boycott the divine process and succeed in life. When David’s brothers met Goliath, there was nothing inside them to confront him – experience.

The experiences we pass through today are part of what God uses to prepare us for the future He has for us. Experience is indeed a great teacher.

PRAYER POINTS

1. I make a strong decision today to garner necessary experiences to face my future challenges in Jesus’ name.

2. Lord, endow me with the spirit of champion in Jesus’ name.

3. Pray for our Christian soldiers to cultivate the spirit of courage and faith in God as they go to the war front.

TREM Devotional – Faith Takes What Grace Has Given

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 19 December 2021 Daily Devotional By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Faith Takes What Grace Has Given

TOPIC: Faith Takes What Grace Has Given

“Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land; begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.” Deuteronomy 2:24 (KJV)

When God said to the children of Israel that He had given them Canaan, He did not drive away the giants from that land. That is why the ten of them and the rest who believed in the ten could not take what belonged to them. The Lord had given them the land but He left the giants because He had already given them the ability to drive them out. There are several things that are combined for you to be able to take what grace has made available to you. Grace gives, but if faith does not take what grace has given, it doesn’t mean that grace has not given; you can still not possess it, even though it is yours.

For instance, the Bible tells us in Titus 2:11: “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation has appeared to all men.’’ In other words, grace is available to people all over the world; red, yellow, black, white, short, tall, educated, illiterate or wherever you are coming from in any part of the globe. However, the grace has brought salvation but not all men are saved because not all have taken advantage of what grace has given.

We live in a world today where it is vital that as a Christian, you must keep the fire burning. This is very important because it determines whether you will receive or not. It is enthusiasm that fuels pursuit and pursuit brings about results. So, if the enthusiasm is no more, you will struggle to do things you could easily do when you newly gave your heart to Christ. You can no longer pursue anything; you will merely exist. One of the things that make Christianity exciting is that there are activities you are involved in that make your full potential come alive. Otherwise, there will be no excitement, no pursuit and no results.
