[Music + Lyrics] Let It Rain – King Solomon

Let It Rain - King Solomon

Anointed gospel music minister King Solomon is out with a new song titled ‘Let It Rain‘.

In our day-to-day living, rain is an essential part of our life. Whenever the rain falls and there seems to be some stagnant dirt in a particular place, the stream of water from the rain will take it off, cleaning that spot.

Likewise also, when God sends His rain, it is capable of sweeping off stagnation, pain and anything that represents dirt in your life.

This song which was produced by Steve O came with a beautiful video directed by Ismaila Attah Muhammed. Get the song, video and lyrics below.

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – Whatsoever Things Are Honest

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional |  Thursday, November 18, 2021 | Whatsoever Things Are Honest

Topic: Whatsoever Things Are Honest

Date: Thursday, November 18, 2021

Read:  Philippians 4:8-9

Philippians 4:8-9  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

MEMORISE:

Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy (Romans 13:13).

EXPOSITION

Today, God would be helping us to talk more on the value of the virtue, honesty. Truth that was the focus of the discourse yesterday, talks about the validity of something, while honesty, our focal point today, talks about uprightness in character.

Believers are people of God, consecrated for holiness and godliness. They are the temple of God, and the Holy Spirit of God dwells in them. With the Spirit of God in the life of a Christian, he is distinguished from the carnal people of the world. He does not walk as the people of the world who grope in darkness and are controlled by the devil and all his vices and wiles.

If honesty as a virtue will not be found anywhere in the world, it shouldn’t be in the Church of God, among the people of God. Believers are expected, above all else, to be of good report and honest character, as they live their lives in the world among the ungodly. As light of the world and salt of the earth, Christians must shine the light of Jesus Christ to unbelievers, wherever they find themselves. They must be of good and honest report in their words, deeds and actions. Christ must be revealed through them in the sport arena, banking hall, marketplace, office among their contemporaries, etc.

In other words, as a believer, the world wants to see Christ in you. You are the epistle they read. The people of the world may be practising dishonesty, fraud, illicit relationships and actions, untoward behaviours, and all sorts of ungodly characters. As a believer, it is not fitting for you, because only what is honest report must be seen and heard about you (1 Cor. 6:12; 10:23). ‘But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts’ (Rom. 13:14).

PRAYER POINTS

1. Lord, make me a true believer, and don’t let me make provision for the flesh.

2. I refuse to walk in the darkness like the people of the world, in Jesus’ name.

3. Lord, let the Spirit of truth and honesty take over all our meetings, and make it possible for us to reveal Christ to the world through our character.

TREM Devotional – You Can Trust God’s Word

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 18 November 2021 Daily Devotional By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – You Can Trust God’s Word

TOPIC: You Can Trust God’s Word

“And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, “Come.” And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.” Matthew 14:28-29 KJV

Looking at our text, you will also notice that from the final part of Peter’s statement, “…come to thee, on the water…,” it is evident that Jesus was already on the water ahead of Peter. So, despite his request presenting some uncertainties in the face of the raging storms and instability of the waters, Peter had comfort knowing that Jesus was there.

It is important to constantly remind yourself of the truth that ever before you stepped out on the scene, Jesus had already gone ahead of you to make the crooked places straight. Yes, it might seem like that business opportunity is high-risk, and you’re not sure of how things will pan out. However, I encourage you to take confidence in the truth that you have a Father who will neither leave nor forsake you. Your God does not jump ship; He is with you always. Peter’s request to Jesus was very specific, not ambiguous. Thus, Jesus granted his desire and said: “come.”

The word ‘come’ in our text carried all the power needed for Peter to walk on his situation. The Bible says in Hebrews 1:3 that the Word of God upholds all things. It says in Hebrews 11:3 that the universe in which we live was framed by the word of God. The Word of God is powerful enough to accomplish its purpose. Therefore, if you receive an instruction from the Word, you can step out on that instruction, and there will be a manifestation.

In the book of Exodus 14:15, God said unto Moses, “tell the children of Israel to go forward.” Thus He made a way in the Red Sea for them to go through. Beloved, you can trust His Word, you can trust His promises. Like Peter, you can step out based on His instruction, and the Word will take you to your destination.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Word Of God: A Fuel Of Faith

Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 18 November 2021 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche — The Word Of God: A Fuel Of Faith

TOPIC — The Word Of God: A Fuel Of Faith

Faith is not believing blindly for something to happen; faith is standing on the Word of God.

SCRIPTURE: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Faith is not believing blindly for something to happen; faith is standing on the Word of God.

Faith is critical to life and destiny. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6). So, to please God and fulfil destiny, your faith in God must be in place.

Now, faith is in place when the revelation of the Word of God in the heart of a person produces a conviction that is strong enough to result in corresponding action.

This means, faith begins with a revelation. Faith begins with the revelation of the Word of God. Romans 10: 17 says,

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

So, it is not possible for faith to be in place where the Word is out of place. Whatever we claim to believe outside the Word is ordinary mental assent or something else but not faith. Bible faith is never in place without solid Word. Faith is not believing blindly for something to happen; faith is standing on the Word of God.

For example, if someone stands on a storey building and says, “If I should jump down from here now, I believe that I will not die because I have faith in God”. That is foolishness. That is presumption. That is stupidity that will end in calamity. That is not faith. The Word of God must be the basis of faith for faith to work.

Therefore, my counsel is, treasure the Word. Study the Word always. Ground yourself in the Word so you can manifest faith.

Remember this: Faith is not believing blindly for something to happen; faith is standing on the Word of God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to study the Word and develop your faith.
  2. Put the Word into practice and manifest faith.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for the revelation of Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to study Your Word and practice it in order to manifest faith, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.`

QUOTE: The strength of your faith in God determines the security of your destiny. When your faith is weak, your destiny is not secured. Culled from “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Romans 12-14

REFLECTION: The marriage of the Word of God and the Will of God leads to the explosion of faith. Know His Word, know His Will and faith will explode.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: The Lord open your eyes to depths of the Word that will produce strong faith in your life in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Password To Greatness

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 18 November 2021 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Password To Greatness

TOPIC: Password To Greatness

TEXT: Matthew 18:1-14

1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.

9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?

13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.

14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

KEY VERSE: “Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” – (Matthew 18:4)

MESSAGE:

Someone had said, “We are not everything, nor are we nothing. It is humility which created this understanding and keeps us in balance. Humility is the proof of self-mastery of having conquered the “I” and “my” which snare a person into the power game and games of manipulation.”

The question of the disciples as to who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven made Jesus illustrate with a little child. He told the disciples that they needed to be converted and become as little children. In addition, they must possess childlike humility to be the greatest in heaven. Children do not desire authority or regard outward distinctions. They are equally free from malice, teachable and dependent on their parents. Obedience to the word of God demands simple-mindedness which is mostly found in children. They tend to believe everything without argument. Children forgive and forget very easily.

Many Christians today allow pride and arrogance to dominate them. They forget that humility is a great Christian virtue. Jesus Christ admonished that we should humble ourselves as little children and have the mindset of a child in matters concerning the kingdom of God. He cares for children and His angels watch over them. Jesus said it is better for a person to be drowned with a heavy millstone around his neck than to abuse little children and face the judgment of God.

Christ wants us to accept His word like little children. It is only childlike acceptance that will make us enter the Kingdom. We are to accept His word, will, way, warning, wisdom and His watchmen.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Humility elevates.

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – Whatsoever Things Are True

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional |  Wednesday, November 17, 2021 | Whatsoever Things Are True

Topic: Whatsoever Things Are True

Date: Wednesday, November 17, 2021

Read: Philippians 4:8-9

Philippians 4:8-9 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

MEMORISE:
Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “That You may be justified in Your words, and may overcome when You are judged” (Romans 3:4).

EXPOSITlON
‘Say the truth and put the devil to shame’ is a popular slogan when we want to combat deceptions and lies. It is possible for lies to remain relevant for a while, but the truth will counter it just in the shortest time.

The World is full of philosophies, fables, genealogies and theories, but only God is true and is the Truth. Since the Fall of man, when he fell away and got the image of God in him distorted, man has not been the same again – his pathetic depravity. He is at variance with his Holy and perfect Creator. Evil imaginations, wickedness, deceit and all manners of ungodly attitudes and practices characterise this depraved being. Yet, the righteous and Holy God, who is perfectly true, did not give up on man. Through His Son, Jesus Christ, He still searches for man to get him restored into perfect relationship with Him. Anyone who utilises this offer of redemption is not condemned but adorned with the righteousness and truth of God (1 Cor. 3:19,21).

Truth refers to integrity (holding on firmly to moral values) and sincerity, with no evidence of being hypocritical. This comes by being anchored in Christ, and not by mere attending church programmes alone. It takes dedication to prayer, studying the Scripture, relative communion with Christ and the people of God, and holy living. Nothing can be true except in, and with Christ. Insincerity is rife in our world because so many of us haven’t given Christ His rightful place, including our judicial system, even the Church of God.

PRAYER POINTS
1. O Lord, let Your Spirit fill my heart and rid me of all manner of evil and vain thought.
2. Spirit of Christ, cause me to grow and develop, so much that I will be so unrepentantly committed to what is right, just and godly.
3. O Lord, deliver our society from ungodliness, insincerity, deceit, and all evil vices as we are witnessing it today.

TREM Devotional – Take A Firm Stand For God

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 17 November 2021 Daily Devotional By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Take A Firm Stand For God

TOPIC: Take A Firm Stand For God

“For he clave to the Lord, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses.” 2 Kings 18:6 (KJV)

The book of second Kings 18 talks about King Hezekiah, one of the kings of Judah and how he restored the worship of God after Israel had gone astray to serve idols. He opened the temple when it was shut and restored a lot of things that pertained to the worship of God during his reign.

However, Judah began to face challenges. The Assyrians came up against all the ten cities of Judah and took them. Now, you may be wondering why the man that had restored everything to God is coming under attack. You see, the fact that you are under grace and you love God does not mean that you cannot be attacked. The activity of the devil is on the increase. Just as God wants to perfect what He has started in your life, the devil also wants to complete all his schemes.

King Hezekiah was paying tribute to the King of Assyria but he stopped and so they came after Judah. Sometimes, the devil comes after you when you make up your mind that you won’t serve him again. He will attack you and try to bring you back to his slavery. You must realize that the devil never gives up easily. The scripture tells us that when an unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks through dry places seeking rest and when he cannot find any, it comes back with seven more dangerous spirits to attack him.

At a time like this, what we must do is to leverage on grace and make up your mind and say, “I will not let anything ungodly have dominion over me again. I am going to dedicate my life to God. I will serve Him. I will pursue Him and I will never be at the side line as a spectator.” Otherwise, you may end up going back to your old ways, just as Hezekiah gave in to the king of Assyria.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Spirituality: A Pathway To Destiny

Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 17 November 2021 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche — Spirituality: A Pathway To Destiny

TOPIC — Spirituality: A Pathway To Destiny

Your life cannot be higher than your level of devotion to God; and your destiny cannot be greater than your spirituality.

SCRIPTURE: And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord: Genesis 19:27.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your life cannot be higher than your level of devotion to God; and your destiny cannot be greater than your spirituality.

Spirituality has been confirmed to be a major force for life and destiny. Your life cannot be higher than your level of devotion to God; and your destiny cannot be greater than your spirituality.

In scriptures, people of solid destiny were people of solid spirituality.

In our study today, we shall look at few examples of men of deep spirituality and impactful destiny:

  1. Abraham

In Genesis 12:1-5, we saw how Abraham got connected with God, and God gave him destiny direction. Abraham was led by God on the platform of his spirituality.

Also, in Genesis 19:27, we saw that Abraham was devoted to God. He stood before God early at the place of prayer and that prayer guaranteed his destiny.

  1. Isaac

Isaac was one of the greatest men of his days. In Genesis 24:63, the Scripture tells us of how Isaac went out to meditate in the field in the evening. Meditation was a major part of his life. Isaiah 26:3 says, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

  1. Jacob

Jacob built altars of prayer before God. He was a man of Bethel (Genesis 28:2-22).

By virtue of his spirituality, he was helped at the place of prayer and his destiny was changed. Jacob is now called Israel. Jacob became Israel at the frequency of spirituality. At the place of prayer, Jacob placed a demand on God for a turnaround of his life and destiny, and God granted it (Genesis 32:24-28).

Beloved, make up your mind to develop quality spirituality in order to have a quality destiny.

Remember this: Your life cannot be higher than your level of devotion to God; and your destiny cannot be greater than your spirituality.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make your spirituality a topmost priority.
  2. Make up your mind to pray always.

QUOTE: It is a foolish thing to do, for you to spend many days in fasting and prayer, live a worship life, study the Word, etc. and all of a sudden God’s power comes upon you in such a great dimension that signs and wonders follow you and devils are cast out, then you stop fasting, praying, worshipping, and studying the Word. DAILY READING: Romans 9-11

REFLECTION: The strength and size of a root determines the stature and size of its tree. You cannot have an outer life that is bigger than your inner life. Determine to develop your spiritual roots.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Receive fresh discipline for the development of spiritual roots in Jesus’ Name. No devil shall collapse your destiny in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – End To Tyranny

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 17 November 2021 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — End To Tyranny

TOPIC: End To Tyranny

TEXT: 2 Kings 11:13-21

13 And when Athaliah heard the noise of the guard and of the people, she came to the people into the temple of the Lord.

14 And when she looked, behold, the king stood by a pillar, as the manner was, and the princes and the trumpeters by the king, and all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew with trumpets: and Athaliah rent her clothes, and cried, Treason, Treason.

15 But Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of the hundreds, the officers of the host, and said unto them, Have her forth without the ranges: and him that followeth her kill with the sword. For the priest had said, Let her not be slain in the house of the Lord.

16 And they laid hands on her; and she went by the way by the which the horses came into the king’s house: and there was she slain.

17 And Jehoiada made a covenant between the Lord and the king and the people, that they should be the Lord’s people; between the king also and the people.

18 And all the people of the land went into the house of Baal, and brake it down; his altars and his images brake they in pieces thoroughly, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars. And the priest appointed officers over the house of the Lord.

19 And he took the rulers over hundreds, and the captains, and the guard, and all the people of the land; and they brought down the king from the house of the Lord, and came by the way of the gate of the guard to the king’s house. And he sat on the throne of the kings.

20 And all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was in quiet: and they slew Athaliah with the sword beside the king’s house.

21 Seven years old was Jehoash when he began to reign.

KEY VERSE: “And they laid hands on her; and she went by the way by the which the horses came into the king’s house: and there was she slain.” – (2 Kings 11:16)

MESSAGE:

Many passages of the Scriptures comment on the seeming triumph of the wicked. In each case, God’s word affirms that a sad end is their lot.

One eloquent illustration of this truth is the case of Athaliah, the daughter of Ahab and Jezebel, married to Jehoram, one time king of Judah. Jehoram was succeeded by his son Ahaziah who was eventually slain by Jehu. A rather strange twist was introduced when Athaliah became aware that her son had been killed. In her lust for power, she usurped the kingship and, for fear of any possible rivalry, killed all the king’s sons. By divine providence, one year old Joash escaped her sword. He was hidden six years in the house of God by his aunt, Jehosheba, the wife of Jehoiada the priest.

Athaliah was as wicked as her parents and as vicious as her husband who maliciously slew all his brothers when he ascended the throne. Her action was aimed at ending the reign of the house of David and thereby hindering the fulfilment of God’s covenant with David. But how futile it is to fight against God’s plan! Just when Athaliah thought her government was established, God by the agency of Jehoiada the priest, plotted her overthrow and she was killed after six years of reign of terror and tyranny.

The death of Athaliah marked the beginning of Joash’s reign. Good will ultimately overcome evil. Those who by violence and fraud seek to deprive others of their rightful position will certainly receive their just recompense because God hates injustice and wickedness.

Are you overwhelmed by the seeming success of wicked people in your neighbourhood or workplace? or are you oppressed by powerful, proud and evil ones? Keep on the path of righteousness with the Lord. It will not be too long; you will see the defeat and downfall of the wicked and oppressor.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Elevation through wickedness ends in humiliation.

Remember Me - Clarion Clarkewoode

Remember Me” is a deep, passionate, honest and personal prayer I said to God many years ago when I could not marry my situation (what I was seeing in my life) and revelation (what God has shown me I would become in life).

“It was a frustrating, confusing, dark, and sad moment. In tears, I knelt to pray saying the words of this song – “Remember Me” – to God. My life has not been the same after saying this honest prayer. The ‘#LastMinuteGod, #MyOnlyHelper – remembered me and came through for me in a mighty way!

“I pray this becomes your story and testimony too. Blessings”Clarion Clarkewoode

Lyrics: Remember Me By Clarion Clarkewoode

Remember me, gracious God
Remember me, precious Lord
Remember me, my faithful father
Remember me, remember me
My help ages past and years to come
Provider, protector, deliverer, my one and only
God you are, King you are

I wait on you, for you today
I call on you, for you today
I thirst for you, I long for you
I yearn for you today
I thirst for you, I long for you
I yearn for you today

The longer you hide, hide from me
The longer they’ll say…Where is my God
How long should they laugh
How long should they mock me
Remember me, remember me

Remember me from your Holy habitation
Me for your Holy reputation
My all in all, hearts desire, one desire
Remember me oh Lord

Change my destiny, remove my agony
Change my destiny, give me a song Lord
Change my destiny, remove my agony
Change my destiny, give me a song Lord

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional – Quench The Rift From Its Source

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional

CAC Living Water Daily Devotional |  Tuesday, November 16, 2021 | Quench The Rift From Its Source

Topic: Quench The Rift From Its Source

Date: Tuesday, November 16, 2021 – International Day for Tolerance

Read:  Acts 6:1-7

Acts 6:1-7  And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.

Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.

Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.

And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

MEMORISE:

l am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war (Psalms 120:7)

EXPOSITION

Fire outbreak is terrible. Those who have witnessed or survived it can tell. Fire ravages and destroy everything it comes across. When fire breaks out, the next thing is to make efforts to salvage lives and properties by quenching it. However, if this is not carefully and timely done, the result may not be different! Professional fire-fighters always want to dig deep into the source of an inferno, so that their efforts would not be in futility. Once the source is discovered, the job becomes easier, and in no time, the fire is put out. As the World commemorates World Tolerance Day today, tolerance is one of the virtues to quench the rift before it even comes up.

More often than not, our efforts at making peace and fostering unity in a dysfunctional, dichotomous and unhealthy home, society and church do not yield desired results, because it is somehow superficial and shallow! If a plant, especially, an unwanted one is cut at the stem, it will surely sprout again. However, if it is duly uprooted, its re-growth becomes impossible.

Misunderstanding, misinterpretation, misrepresentation, and the likes cannot but happen. It is not unusual for it to also occur even in the church(Acts 6:1 ff). Efforts must always be made to nip such crises in the bud at record time.

Meanwhile, it must be tackled right from its emanating source. The source is very important. For instance, any river not getting support from any certain source will dry up in no time. So, If we don’t dig deep into the cause of a conflict, we may never achieve success in resolving it.

In the days of the early apostles, crisis ensued due to the ill-feeling of certain non-Jews who were not being fairly treated. God helped the leaders then to tackle this by appointing seven deacons who were informed about the cause of the crisis to be in charge of the fair distribution, while they focused on preaching the Word and Prayer. In resolving crisis, round peg must also be put in round holes, and not otherwise. Those who are to resolve crisis must be fair to all parties involved, digging deep into the roots of the crisis, and providing lasting solution to it.

PRAYER POINTS

1. May unnecessary, destructive crisis not rock our homes, churches and society as a whole, in Jesus’ name.

2. Lord, give us the wisdom to resolve crises in our homes, workplaces, churches, nations, etc. in Your own way.

3. Holy Spirit, help remove every obstacle to peaceful resolution of conflicts in our midst, in Jesus’ name.

TREM Devotional – The Importance Of Intimacy

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 16 November 2021 Daily Devotional By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – The Importance Of Intimacy

TOPIC: The Importance Of Intimacy

“And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.” Matthew 14:28 KJV

Child of God, we understand from the scripture in Matthew 14:22 that Peter was not the only disciple in the boat. But then, how come Peter was the only disciple who asked Jesus to call him out to walk on water? The other disciples had the same opportunity. So, what was it about Peter that gave him the boldness to make this request? I believe that Peter was able to make this request because of the type of intimacy he had with Jesus.

Beloved, the level of intimacy and quality of relationship Peter had with Jesus was the premise upon which he was able to make such a demand as walking on water to meet Jesus, not minding the raging storms and tossing billows. Therefore, because of Peter’s intimacy with Jesus, he had the boldness to make demands that others didn’t dare make. Intimacy with Jesus always produces boldness.

I want to point an important part of Peter’s demand to Jesus: Peter’s request was not primarily to walk on water, even though that was the context wherein Jesus was at the time. His primary objective was that Jesus would call him to Himself. Walking on water was secondary- It was the consequence of being drawn to Jesus.

Jesus first calls us to Himself before anything else. Every pursuit and every desire for growth and advancement in life must be such that draws us closer to Jesus. This is why I cannot understand it when believers willfully engage in activities, whether in life, career or businesses, that strain their relationship with the Lord, instead of enhancing it. What we fail to understand is that our intimacy with Jesus is what empowers us to do things that men term as impossible! Peter understood the power of being intimate with the Lord. He knew that as long as he desired to get closer to Jesus, no challenge was insurmountable.
