Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Avoid Bribery And Corruption

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 20 March 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Avoid Bribery And Corruption

TOPIC: Avoid Bribery And Corruption (Seeds Of Destiny 20 March 2024)

SCRIPTURE: For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery. Job 15:34.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Both the briber and the bribed are implicated in corruption and the consequent disaster.

MESSAGE:

The Bible makes it clear that the love of money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Due to the desire to make money by all means, many people indulge in all sort of evil practices. The money they get from such practices is called evil money.

One example of such evil money is the proceeds of bribery.
Bribery is a form of inducement. It is giving people things in order to have your way. To bribe someone, therefore, is to dishonestly persuade him or her to act in one’s favour using money or other kinds of gifts as inducement. It is a sinful practice. Both the briber and the bribed are implicated in corruption and the consequent disaster.

When one partakes in bribery, money is either given or taken in order to have one’s way. There are people who expect you to give them money to do what they are being paid salary to do.

Job 15:34 says:
For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.

From the above scripture, we can see that investment from bribery has no future. The reason God consumes the tabernacle of the bribery with fire is that He hates bribery.

1 Samuel 12:3, 4, Samuel gave a testimony of himself saying:
Behold, here I am: witness against me before the Lord, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.
And they said, Thou hast not defrauded us, nor oppressed us, neither hast thou taken ought of any man’s hand.

And because Samuel was an upright man, free from bribery, he prayed and thunder and fire fell. Beloved, God hates bribery.

REMEMBER THIS: Both the briber and the bribed are implicated in corruption and the consequent disaster.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Refuse to induce or be induced with gifts.
  2. Follow due process to get things done.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the temptation of giving or receiving bribe. Help me to follow due process and the right way to get things done, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE TRAGEDY OF EVIL MONEY.

QUOTE: To eat alone is to die alone. By that, I do not mean money gotten out of bribery. I mean the legitimate money that comes your way. I mean the God-sent money that comes your way. Culled from the book, “21 UNCOMMON KEYS TO FINANCIAL OVERFLOW” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: 2 Kings 16-18.

AMAZING FACT: Elephants from the same herd will often use touch to greet each other, either wrapping their trunks around each other or giving each other friendly “hello” taps on the body.

DECLARATION/WORD: The LORD grant you distaste for every form of illegal money in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Consistent Obedience

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 20 March 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Consistent Obedience

TOPIC: Consistent Obedience (DCLM Daily Manna 20 March 2024)

KEY VERSE: “And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel” (Numbers 9:5).

TEXT: Numbers 9:5-23 (KJV)

5 And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.

6 And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:

7 And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the Lord in his appointed season among the children of Israel?

8 And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the Lord will command concerning you.

9 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

10 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the Lord.

11 The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

12 They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.

13 But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the Lord in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

14 And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the Lord; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.

15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.

16 So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.

17 And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.

18 At the commandment of the Lord the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the Lord they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.

19 And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the Lord, and journeyed not.

20 And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the Lord they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the Lord they journeyed.

21 And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.

22 Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.

23 At the commandment of the Lord they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the Lord they journeyed: they kept the charge of the Lord, at the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

MESSAGE:

Thomas A. Kempis, German clergyman and writer of the famous book The Imitation of Christ has much to say about life and living. He says: “Without the way, there’s no going; without the truth, there’s no knowing; without the life, there’s no living.” It was Mr. A Kempis’ way of drawing men into the only path of life where truth and perfect knowledge are found: Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The path of truth is the path of obedience to which Kempis said, “Instant obedience is the only kind of obedience there is; delayed obedience is disobedience. Whoever strives to withdraw from obedience withdraws from Grace.”

As believers, we are called to instant and consistent gracious obedience because that is the perfect way to imitate Christ, who made Himself of no reputation but obeyed His Father, the Almighty God, even to the point of dying for the sins of humanity on the cross. In Numbers 9:5, the Israelites promptly obeyed God’s command given to Moses on the importance of observing the Passover.

The hallmark of Christianity is believers’ allegiance to Christ, who delivered us from the bondage and wages of sin through a great sacrifice. God shows us an example of abundant life through Israel’s instant obedience. As they were rescued from an overlord that had them in chains for decades, we have every reason to continue celebrating God after we have been saved from the horror and doom of sin and Satan.

God expects that throughout our lives, we will remember what He has done and keep a sort of Passover where He is lifted and our joy and hope of eternal life renewed. That will be a worthy tribute to the grace and mercy of God in our lives.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Consistent obedience to God secures His consistent blessings.

TREM Devotional – God’s Mercy Always Prevails

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 19 March 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – God’s Mercy Always Prevails

TOPIC: God’s Mercy Always Prevails (TREM Devotional 19 March 2024)

“And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.” Judges 6:6

MESSAGE:

When the people of God were afflicted, they cried unto God. They reached out and began to celebrate His mercy and grace. And so God’s answer came to them. An angel of God visited God’s people. You see, God’s mercy always prevails. That is the joy of serving God. The God that we serve is a God of mercy and God of grace. Every time you lean on His mercy and grace, He always shows up.

“And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valour!” (Judges

The grace and the mercy of God will consistently speak over your life. Mercy and Grace will overrule on your behalf. You will not continue the way you are. The hand of God is upon your life. His glory is upon you. His purpose shall be fulfilled in your life.

Child of God, everything may fail, but the mercy of God will never fail. “Every mountain and hill may disappear. But I will always be kind and merciful to you; I won’t break my agreement to give your nation peace.” (Isaiah

This is why I know that no enemy can stop you. Your days of shame, disgrace, humiliation, embarrassment, and ridicule are over. Your days of failure and weeping are over. The mercy of God is turning things around in your favour. Fear not! Rest in the grace and mercy of God.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Root Of All Evil

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 19 March 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Root Of All Evil

TOPIC: The Root Of All Evil (Seeds Of Destiny 19 March 2024)

SCRIPTURE: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Many people envy those who are rich without knowing the source of their wealth.

MESSAGE:

Sometime ago, I travelled to South America for a preaching engagement. After preaching, a young man who is a Nigerian met me and said, “Pastor, please pray for me for a breakthrough in life.”

When I asked him what specifically I should pray for him about,
he said, “I am about to travel with a cargo; I need prayer so I can cross successfully.”

When I asked further questions about the content of the cargo, he said, “Sir, you should understand.” Then I looked at him and knew that he was about trafficking some prohibited substance. I was face-to-face with a drug dealer.

Imagine the world we are living in! He was asking me to pray for him so he could successfully transport harmful drugs from one country to another without being caught. He met the wrong person. Probably, he must have met a man of God who prayed for him in the past and he succeeded in the evil business.

I looked at him and told him, “You are the kind of people that soil the image of Nigeria and Nigerians all over the world.” The only thing I felt like doing at that time was to release a curse for putting us in bad light.

You see, because of people like this man, the world sees Nigerians as drug dealers and corrupt people. Many of this kind of persons have been deported because of evil practices like high level fraud, drug trafficking or other drug-related offences.
Many people envy those who are rich without knowing the source of their wealth. Many people envy those who drive flashy cars, but little did they know that the money used in buying those cars are evil or corrupt money.

Beloved, do not envy anyone until you know their full story. Many times, there are secrets and unpleasant stories behind people who appear flashy and flamboyant.

REMEMBER THIS: Many people envy those who are rich without knowing the source of their wealth.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Refuse to stain your name or the name of your family by crooked practices.
  2. Esteem a good name more than riches.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to treasure a good name and upright living above filthy lucre. Deliver me from falling into the temptation of evil money, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE TRAGEDY OF EVIL MONEY.

QUOTE: When you look for money for your own purpose, the struggle continues, but whenever you tie the purpose of God to your pursuit of money, then the struggle is over. Culled from the book, “21 UNCOMMON KEYS TO FINANCIAL OVERFLOW” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: 2 Kings 13-15.

AMAZING FACT: Asian elephants have one more toenail on each foot than African elephants. Asian elephants have five toenails on the front feet and four on the back feet, while African elephants have four on the front and three on the back.

DECLARATION/WORD: Grace for contentment in God be released on you in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – All Glory To God

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 19 March 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — All Glory To God

TOPIC: All Glory To God (DCLM Daily Manna 19 March 2024)

KEY VERSE: “But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God” (1 Corinthians 1:24).

TEXT: 1 Corinthians 1:17-31 (KJV)

17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

MESSAGE:

More than 50 years ago when the American astronaut, Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin, made history by landing on the moon, the first act he performed was to offer worship to God. Right there on the moon, he served himself Holy Communion from the wafer and wine he carried along, silently reading from John 15:5, which he had penned on a small notecard. Part of that Scriptures reads: “…for without me ye can do nothing.” As the world celebrated an unforgettable breakthrough, one man recognized the indispensable place of the Creator as the One who deserves all the glory for all our accomplishments.

Apostle Paul, led by the Holy Spirit, says that indeed all the wisdom, craft, ingenuity and philosophy of man from all generations must recede in the presence of the unfathomably wise God. He presents the case that even what might look like the “foolishness of God” is greater than the wisdom of man. The Jews looked for a sign, believing it was the way of salvation. Then the Greeks came, seeking wisdom as the panacea for man’s unhealthy condition. None was of any value.

But the new way God brought through Jesus’ death and subsequent resurrection has given man a new lease of life. Christ’s intervention transcends the hollowness of signs and the limits of man’s wisdom. He has with Him all life bestows not only here, but also hereafter. The Giver of these all-encompassing benefits deserves glory.

We must give glory to the Lord for our being and achievements. As you step out today, acknowledge God in all your ways, glorify Him in all your accomplishments and you will experience His power in all circumstances of life.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
It is folly to glory in what gives only ephemeral success.

Throne Of God - Quineta Michael

Quineta Michael, the inspiring and talented gospel music minister and songwriter, offers up a captivating single titled “Throne Of God.”

The song is a worshipper’s cry; Christ enjoins His Bride to worship God in Spirit and truth, and you can only worship the One you know!

According to Quineta, “As a citizen of Zion, you can come boldly before God’s presence, before the throne of His majesty, to behold Him.”

“This single echoes a call to all who have the witness of the Spirit that the throne of God is not an abstract thought but rather the place where we encounter the Divine presence of the King of Kings.

As we behold Him, we see a transformation, and we can witness the splendour of His Presence, just like John in the book of Revelations 4.

In His presence, there is empowerment to rule and reign on the earth, advancing His Kingdom in our homes, communities, cities, and nations.” – she concludes

Quineta conveys the truth in this song that the place of abiding in Christ is only possible by the Spirit of God.

The song is available in all digital stores worldwide.

TREM Devotional – Don’t Live In Sin

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 18 March 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Don’t Live In Sin

TOPIC: Don’t Live In Sin (TREM Devotional 18 March 2024)

“And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years. And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: …” – Judges 6:1-6

MESSAGE:

According to the scriptures, Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites. The enemy came against God’s people, attacked them, and plundered their harvests and resources. These were covenant people. These were children of God that God had made a promise to.

What was the reason for the attack? God brought them out of Egypt and began to bless them. They were expected to continue to serve God, but they decided to serve other gods. They chose to live in sin. And their sins brought untold hardship to them as a people.

You see, that’s what sin does. When you allow sin in your life, then you allow the devastating effect of the devil against you. If you choose to live in sin, the enemies will come against your life. If you choose to live in sin, the devil will frustrate you. Your efforts will amount to nothing. You will be disappointed. You will be embarrassed. You will be ridiculed. And you will encounter shame.

God’s people were disobedient, and they opened the door for the enemy to oppress them and put them in bondage. Don’t live in sin! There are people who go to church every day, but they are living in sin. How can you desire God to intervene in the affairs of your life, and you are living in disobedience? What you are doing is that you are giving the devil ammunition to use against you.

Check out what the Bible says in the book of Psalm 107:17: “Fools, because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, were afflicted.” (NKJV). The reason they are afflicted is that they have turned into fools. Those who reject what God has said concerning them are fools. They are living a life of error which is contrary to the will of God.

Beloved, the time to repent and accept God’s forgiveness is now.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Determinant Of Your Spiritual Weight

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 18 March 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Determinant Of Your Spiritual Weight

TOPIC: The Determinant Of Your Spiritual Weight (Seeds Of Destiny 18 March 2024)

SCRIPTURE: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The volume of light or insight you feed on determines your spiritual weight.

MESSAGE:

Life is a product of responsibility. Maintaining a life of faith leaves us with responsibilities. This is because there can be no reach without a stretch, and no flight without a fight.

Now, one thing that enhances faith is the acceptance of responsibility for the building of your faith.

Make the building of your faith a priority in life because the just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17).

Build your faith with the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Build your faith by praying in the Holy Ghost always (Jude 1:20).

In the realm of the spirit, faith is built the way body builders or wrestlers physically build their bodies.

Body building entails rigorous trainings and exercises as well as the consumption of adequate nutrition. The truth is, no one can eat physical food for you. In the same manner, no one can build your faith for you. You have to accept the responsibility of building your faith. Show me a hard worker, a man who knows how to labour in the Word of God, and I will show you someone who is a giant in the faith.

You cannot exercise yourself like an ant and end as an elephant. An elephant eats 120 pounds of food in a day; and that is like the weight of some human beings. They have to consume 120 pounds of food in a day in order to sustain their massive size.

In the realm of the spirit, your light (Revelation) intake is what determines your weight. The volume of light or insight you feed on determines your spiritual weight.

The truth is, we do not have the same weight in the realm of the spirit. There are some demons God would never allow to come near some people because if He does, the demons would collapse such people.

There are people who cannot stand village demons because their spiritual weight is too small. For Job, it was satan himself, the head of all demons that confronted him (Job 1:7-12) because Job’s faith was equal to the task. For Jesus Christ, satan himself took Him and confronted Him in temptations. This was because Jesus could handle satan (Matthew 4:5).

Beloved, don’t be a physical giant and a spiritual dwarf. Accept the responsibility of building your faith. Build your spiritual weight.

REMEMBER THIS: The volume of light or insight you feed on determines your spiritual weight.

DCLM Daily Manna – Spared Through Importunate Prayer

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 18 March 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Spared Through Importunate Prayer

TOPIC: Spared Through Importunate Prayer (DCLM Daily Manna 18 March 2024)

KEY VERSE: “Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?” (Joel 2:17).

TEXT: Joel 2:12-17 (KJV)

12 Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

14 Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the Lord your God?

15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:

16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

17 Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?

MESSAGE:

In May 1940, during the early days of World War II, Britain was at its wit’s end when the German forces encircled its port at Dunkirk, threatening to eliminate its isolated troops there. There was no human hope for the young British soldiers. But the British monarch knew where help lay: heaven. He called on his people to seek the face of God in penitent prayer. The Lord answered by releasing a heavy storm that disrupted the German Air Command’s plan to attack Dunkirk; but He allowed serene weather at Dunkirk that enabled the British forces to be evacuated to safety.

Nearly 3000 years earlier when Judah faced extinction following devastating plagues and drought in the land, Prophet Joel also asked the people to turn to God in repentance from their sin that had attracted the Lord’s judgment. Judah had been brought to its knees as God punished the land for the people’s apostasy and immorality, among other transgressions. Locust plagues combined with drought so ravaged the land that there was even no livestock for temple sacrifices. Joel told the people what the Lord desired to avert the ravaging destruction: all the land, including the nobles, priests and ministers must show sincere godly repentance. He went on to plead that God should be kind to spare His erring people, so the heathen neighbours would not question His greatness and superiority over their idols.

The way out of the challenges tormenting man is to find the escape route offered by a God who readily forgives the unpretentious evil doer seeking mercy through Jesus Christ. This sets him on a new path of hope.

There is a call today for all believers to seize the horn of the altar of intercession and plead with the Almighty to spare His people.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The Lord will only deliver those who humbly run to Him in the day of trouble.
