‘‘Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord’’! (psalm 150:6). God created us to show forth His praise. Praising God is a unique privilege because that is what God does not do for Himself. Praise is a response to the very nature of God and it agrees with who the Bible declares Him to be. Praise brings us into the safety of God’s presence.
Thanksgiving responds to the acts and works of God while praise takes it further and deeper by declaring the glory of God. Praise is a weapon: Most times, where prayer stops, praise takes it further.
