The Trap Of Negative Words ~ Pastor Paul Enenche

Topic: The Trap Of Negative Words [Sunday March 12, 2017]

Scripture: Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21

Thought For The Day: Until you value your words, you do not value your life.

We live in times where there is an escalation of diverse afflictions, a time where satan is doing a lot of overtime.

From our anchor scripture, we see that one avenue which people use to establish themselves in afflictions is in the speaking of negative words.

Words are seeds (Mark 4:14). What you say determines what you reap. When you say ‘It is well with my soul’ it means, it must be well despite what is happening.

Many people today are reaping the fruits of the words they spoke yesterday. For instance, when you say ‘I have fever’, how much did you buy it? When you ask some people how they are doing, they would say ‘We are managing.’

Until you value your words, you do not value your life. Do not use negative words even as a joke.

Words are also prophecies (Numbers 14:28). Every time you talk, you prophesy into your future and declare how your life will end.

Beloved, if you want life and desire to see good days, you must refrain your lips from speaking evil and your mouth from speaking perversion. Whatever is not your intention must never be your confession. Avoid the trap of negative words.

Remember this: Until you value your words, you do not value your life.
