Week 8 of Tomi Favored’s continuous weekly single releases. Agbenimagbenisubu (The One who carries and doesn’t cause the one carried to fall).
“It is not always easy to find someone on whom to lean… furthermore, it’s even harder to find someone who will bear your burdens with you. And least of all readily found helpers is someone who will actually carry you. If you uncommonly become favored enough to find someone who will carry you, chances are that they will fall and fail at some point because your weight is truly heavy and overwhelming.
In Jesus Christ, however, every one of us who want to, have found a very present help in time of need; One who has promised never to leave nor forsake us. A highly capable helper. The Almighty is a refuge to those who run to Him and when He carries us, there is a perfect guarantee that He cannot inadvertently drop us. He is able; and that’s the truth Tomi Favored would like listeners to be blessed with on this week 8 song of her continuous single releases.
The song was inspired by a moment recently explained by the artist on social media about a time when she was holding her son and fell, unfortunately with her beloved son holding her hands…causing him some scrapes and bruises. Unlike us fallible people, God is unfailing.
Listeners of the Yoruba, Nigerian-American singer and songwriter get to experience a more traditional, rhythmic, native-tongue-infused composition this week.
