The Will Of God 2 ~ Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor

Topic: The Will Of God 2 [Thursday 26, January 2017]

“… to whom also he gave testimony, and said I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will.” ( Acts 13:22)

The bane of the society today is that many people know the purpose of God for their lives but don’t fulfill it. And the reason they don’t fulfill it is that they are not in the will of God. They know very clearly what they are supposed to do, yet they go through life doing the contrary.

The will of God is very important when you are talking about purpose. God has a purpose for everyone. He had a purpose for allowing our LORD Jesus to come into the world in His incarnate nature. Our LORD Jesus knew the purpose of God for His life here on earth and even hereafter.

“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8).

From the scripture above, it is clear that one of the purposes why Jesus came into this world is to destroy the works of the devil. He confirmed this purpose when He said: “I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.” (John 5:30)

No wonder He fulfilled His purpose on earth. From the time He was born to when He ascended into heaven He was in the will of God.

Crave the will of God today. Ask Him to enable you dwell in His will so that you will find fulfillment in life.

WORDS OF WISDOM: When you are not in the will of God, you cannot fulfill your purpose.

PRAYER/CONFESSION:  Father, grant me the grace to fulfill your will concerning my life and destiny and help me to fulfill my purpose, in Jesus name.
