Nigerian–British singer, songwriter, and worship minister Kasopefoluwa Sote, professionally known as Kasope, returns with a deeply emotional and faith-filled worship single titled “Bámiṣé (Help Me).”
Based in London, Kasope blends soulful worship, heartfelt storytelling, and rich Yoruba expression to create music that resonates deeply with both the spirit and the human experience.
The Yoruba titled song, “Bámiṣé,” [a language mostly spoken in the south-western region of Nigeria], which translates to “Help Me,” is more than a worship song; it is a sincere cry to God, birthed from moments of uncertainty, personal pain, health challenges, and unwavering dependence on divine help.
What began as a spontaneous melody during a choir rehearsal in 2019 later evolved into a deeply personal prayer as Kasope navigated difficult seasons of life. Through emotional honesty and scripture-rooted faith, the song became an expression of surrender, trust, healing, and hope.
With moving Yoruba declarations like “Ìwọ ni mo gbẹ́kẹ̀lé o” (“You are the One I trust”) and “Mi ò fẹ́ wá s’áyé lásán” (“I do not want to come into this world in vain”), Kasope delivers a worship experience that transcends culture and speaks directly to the heart.
