Read: 1 Corinthians 9:16-23

1 Corinthians 9:16-23  For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.

What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;

To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

MEMORISE:

He gives power to the weak and to those who have no might He increases strength (Isaiah 40:29)

EXPOSITION

God gives grace to people as an investment that must yield returns. He never wished His grace should be wasted. Therefore, do not allow it to be wasted. Instead of His grace being wasted, He gives it out to another man who will use it profitably for His purpose.

He gave it to King Saul who was never from a royal lineage but a Benjamite. His refusal to utilise it made God replace him with young David. David profited God with the grace he received. God’s investment on King David had great yield.

The office, family, church He gave you is His investment on you for profit. Don’t disappoint Him.

He gives grace to each believer and His expectation on everyone is to profit with them. Are you living up to expectation of Him that called you into His marvellous light? Remember, you are an investment that must not fail.

Bishop Timothy, Onesimus, and the entire gentile nations are some of the profit made by Apostle Paul with the investment (Grace) of God on his life. Believers are to work in season and out of season to justify the grace of God on them. Don’t waste it.

He is waiting for bountiful returns on/of you. He rewards now and later in His Kingdom.

PRAYER POINTS

1. I will not waste Your investment on me O Lord, help me to be a profitable servant, I refuse to be a wasted investment.

2. Pray for the missionaries on their various mission fields that God will grant them with all the necessary tools needed to bring much harvest to the kingdom of God.

3. Lord, let my life and ministry bring glory to You and blessings to my generation.
