Topic: Your Life Consists In Your Faith

Read: Romans 10:17

Romans 10:17 So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).

MEMORISE:
Now when they heard this they were stung (cut) to the heart, and they said to Peter and the rest of the apostles (special messengers), Brethren, what shall we do? (Acts 2:37)?

EXPOSITION
Everything aan does has to do with his faith in those things. What you have faith in definitely rules your heart. So, we must be careful of the information that comes to us for it will either maker or mar our lives. No wonder some worship money, snake, elephant, tree, etc. because they heard someone taked about it which aroused their interest. Just as a man doesn’t give life to Christ, unless he had heard someone preached to him, or heard from Jesus Himself, so also is the sick, whose healing depends upon God’s words. The farmer who listens to meteorologist to know when the rain starts for the next planting season is better informed.

Those who needs job’s, traveling documents, etc, need to listen to news and read newspapers, write applications, and believe that would get what they wanted. Of course, this would spur them into some actions — work. Faith makes you more determined because you already have what you want. It is the evidence of things not seen (Heb. 11:1). Faith makes you more committed and hospitable for it is like love that is not afraid of people, or puffed up. It also makes you dig dip into God’s Word.

You will discover that the more you search His Word, the more you want to know Him. So, it is very rewarding to have faith, even though as little as the mustard seed. Faith will make you do the impossible and make you depend on God alone. The Israelites relapsed into idolatry when they shifted their faith from God to the golden calf and paid dearly for it (Exo. 32:1ff). Hope you have not diverted from the message of God’s Word to reading newspapers, gossiping, murmuring, or ‘traveling’ elsewhere? Remember, where your treasure is, there your heart will be (Matt. 6:21). Put not your faith only in God! put your faith on nothing else but on His name and His Word, happy new month.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Thank You Lord for caring about the details of our lives.
2. Lord, help me to keep my focus first on You than anything else.
3. Father, bring back the Church from drifting into idolatry and all forms of ungodliness pervading her ranks.
