Topic: Desire – A Secret Of Power [Sunday April 9, 2017]
Scripture: And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day… And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me…And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. Genesis 32:24-28
Thought For The Day: What you do not desire, you do not deserve.
From our anchor Scripture, it can be confirmed that one of the secrets of power with God is desire. A person’s destiny is at the mercy of his or her desires. What you do not desire, you do not deserve.
The disciples of Jesus were filled with Power on the day of Pentecost by virtue of desire (Acts 2:2-4). The Pentecost, just like Christmas, is a festival. It was a season of celebration but during that festive period, the disciples locked themselves up; one hundred and twenty people in one room. They stayed without food, wine, etc. What was important to them was power. Jesus had gone to heaven and a power vacuum had been left. Their utmost desire was to fill that power vacuum. So, they left everything for power and they were not disappointed.
There can be no spiritual fire without spiritual desire.
Beloved, the desire in your heart magnetises the Anointing in your direction. When a person is passionate for God, it is impossible for God to look away from him (Matthew 5:6).
I see you stepping into a realm of unusual manifestation as you increase your desire for God, in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: What you do not desire, you do not deserve.
