Topic — Uprightness: A Key To Your Lifting [Thursday October 12, 2017]
Scripture: Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34
Thought For The Day: To be made visible without character is visibility unto ignominy.
It is important to know that there is a lifting power in uprightness. Righteousness is a lifter and an exalter of persons. One of the greatest helps God can give to a person in life and in Ministry is the help to maintain uprightness of character.
Any possession or qualification without good character is a setup for disaster. To be made visible without character is visibility unto ignominy.
In Genesis 5:8, Noah was lifted by character as he found grace in the sight of the Lord. In 2 Peter 2:5, Noah was referred to as a preacher of righteousness insomuch that when the flood was drowning people, he and his family were lifted up by the same flood.
But when Noah put away uprightness of character, his nakedness was exposed (Genesis 9:20).
Now, how does uprightness of character lift a person?
- Uprightness eliminates the gravitational pull of iniquity
Iniquity is a spiritual gravitational force that has the capacity to pull a person down to the ground (Romans 3:23), but when you walk in uprightness, that gravitational pull is avoided.
- It forbids the invitation of the enemy for the resistance of life and destiny
A garment of filthiness is a magnetic attraction for the enemy and the invitation of the enemy is an invitation unto resistance of life and destiny (Zechariah 3:1-5). Uprightness forbids this.
Today, I decree that you are free from every form of resistance surrounding your life. May the Help of God take you up and keep you up in Jesus’ Name.
Remember This: To be made visible without character is visibility unto ignominy.
