EEW Magazine founder, Dianna Hobbs is in need our prayers. It has been confirmed through Hobbs publicist that she is battling an undisclosed illness. The award-winning founder of Empowering Everyday Women (EEW) Ministries, Inc., who reaches, encourages and pray for thousands daily, is now requesting prayers during this challenging time.
As a result of this untimely illness, the popular inspirational leader’s blog, YouTube channel, podcast and Facebook page have all been dormant since late September.
The ministry’s administrative staff say they have received a large volume of emails and calls from around the world, expressing concern and asking for an explanation of the beloved leader’s absence.
“We don’t know how long Dianna will be on leave,” a ministry spokesperson says. “We simply know that she and her family are trusting God and taking things one day at a time. In her absence, please pray for her.”
“Dianna fell suddenly ill in September and has been fighting a harrowing health battle since that time,” says Bertinelli, who confirms that Hobbs was hospitalized late last month. The sought-after speaker, author and writer of “Your Daily Cup of Inspiration”—named one of the Top 100 Christian blogs in America—has since been released from the hospital, but remains under the care of a team of doctors and specialists.
Hobbs has undergone “a number of procedures” and is receiving “excellent medical care” says Bertinelli and also emphasizes that Hobbs’ “unwavering belief in God’s healing power” is strong as ever.
“Even in her weakened state, Dianna is strengthened by the unfailing faith with which she inspires others,” adds Bertinelli, who has also released a brief statement from Kenya Hobbs, the stricken leader’s husband.
“Your kindness and heartfelt expressions of compassion have meant more to us at this time than words can express. It is with sincere gratitude and deep appreciation of everyone’s love and concern that I humbly say thank you,” said Mr. Hobbs, who has been by his wife’s side and is looking forward to the couple’s 19-year wedding anniversary in January 2017.
He continues, “Though dealing with a prolonged season of sickness is not easy for either of us, we stand firmly upon God’s word that assures us in Psalm 34:19 that ‘Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.’”
Until further notice, Hobbs’ ministry staff has canceled all upcoming engagements through the end of 2016 and into the first quarter of 2017.
