TREM Devotional – Ask God For Wisdom

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 26 July 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Ask God For Wisdom

TOPIC: Ask God For Wisdom (TREM Devotional 26 July 2024)

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” – James 1:5 (NIV)

MESSAGE:

It is no news that we are living in very precarious times. There are challenges everywhere you turn. This is why you need the wisdom of God. From the moment you wake up till the moment you fall asleep, you need the wisdom of God. You cannot even leave your house without seeking the wisdom of God. The roads are not even safe. The only place of safety is in Jesus Christ. The awesome thing is that God has promised to give us this wisdom when we ask.

If we must walk in the reality of God’s promises, then we need the wisdom of God. Daily, take time to ask God for wisdom concerning every area of your life. Don’t just rush out the door daily and say it doesn’t matter or sign that business deal without asking for the wisdom of God. If we learn anything from previous and current happenings, it is that man does not have the answer. The best of man is still a man. It is only God that knows the end from the beginning. Therefore, it is vitally important that we seek wisdom from Jehovah.

The Book of Proverbs 4:7 tells us that, “Wisdom is the principal thing;…” So, we must pursue wisdom with every fibre of our being. Wisdom will make you sought after. Wisdom will cause you to stand before kings and not mean men. Wisdom will open doors for you. Wisdom will make you the preferred person. Make up your mind to go after wisdom.

The wisdom of God enabled Joseph to interpret Pharaoh’s dream in Genesis 41, leading to his elevation to the position of Prime Minister. God’s wisdom also enabled Daniel to interpret the king’s dream in Daniel 2:24-49. Child of God, pay the price to get wisdom. Spend time in the presence of God and go after wisdom.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – No One Can Stop You

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 26 July 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: No One Can Stop You

TOPIC: No One Can Stop You (Seeds Of Destiny 26 July 2024)

SCRIPTURE: And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:12.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If God can set aside His own law because of a fighter, there is no witch, devil or principality that can stop you from becoming what God wants you to be if you deploy the fighting spirit.

MESSAGE:

We have seen that it takes a fighting spirit to access your inheritance in God.
Ruth was one person who accessed her inheritance by the fighting spirit.

Originally, Ruth was not an Israelite. She was from the tribe of Moab, a cursed tribe that came out from the union of Lot and one of his two daughters. Ruth was married for ten years, but had no child and then, her husband died. She was a barren widow.

Then, it was time for Naomi, her mother in-law to return to her father’s house in the land of Israel.

You know, God said that Moabites must never enter the congregation of the Lord (Deuteronomy 23:3-6). This means, Ruth was not qualified to enter the congregation of the children of Israel. She was not qualified to follow Naomi to the land Israel.
But Ruth fought her way into the land of Israel.

When Naomi, her mother in-law asked her to go back, she replied “I am going nowhere. I am not going back; your God shall be my God, your people shall be my people. Where you die, there I shall die; where you are buried, there, I shall be buried. It is only death that can separate us” (Ruth 1:16-17, paraphrased).

And because of her fighting spirit, Ruth, who was a stranger that was not meant to share fellowship with the people of God, forced her way into commonwealth of Israel which was contrary to divine injunction. It was God who made the law that the Moabite must never mingle with Israelites; but when God saw her decision and fighting spirit, he set aside the law. God seemed to have said, “I can stop other Moabites, but not this one.” And because Ruth was a fighter, she became one of the ancestors of Jesus Christ.

Beloved, if God can set aside His own law because of a fighter, there is no witch, devil or principality that can stop you from becoming what God wants you to be if you deploy the fighting spirit.

Remember this: If God can set aside His own law because of a fighter, there is no witch, devil or principality that can stop you from becoming what God wants you to be if you deploy the fighting spirit.

ASSIGNMENT:

  1. Make up your mind not to give up in life.
  2. Persist with God until you prevail.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to persist with you until I prevail in life. Help me never to give up in life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: FORCES OF DIVINE DESTINY

QUOTE: You do not fly to the top; you fight to the top. Culled from the book, “30 Secrets to the Top” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Isaiah 34-36.

AMAZING FACT: The smallest bone in our body is in the inner ear.

PROPHETIC WORD (DECLARATION): Receive the fresh baptism of the fighter spirit, in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. It is a power-packed arena where God’s Presence, Principles and Power are at work for the salvation, healing and restoration of human destinies and dignities.

Find Me Worthy - Jimmy D Psalmist

“Find Me Worthy” by Jimmy D Psalmist is a heartfelt soul-stirring declaration of humility and surrender before the Almighty.

Through its soul-stirring lyrics and impassioned delivery, the song invites listeners into a place of deep reflection and introspection, as it explores the longing to be found worthy in the eyes of God.

“Sons may be handed the inheritance of the Kingdom, but the secrets of the kingdom are for servants. There is a higher realm in God, a realm where we have no will but the will of the Father becomes our will, a realm where we are totally dead to self and the desires of this world and all that matters is to do the biddings of the Father” – he said

DCLM Daily Manna – Don’t Prank God!

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 26 July 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — “Don’t Prank God!”

TOPIC: “Don’t Prank God!” (DCLM Daily Manna 26 July 2024)

KEY VERSE: “And Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself, that thou be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get thee to Shiloh: behold, there is Ahijah the prophet, which told me that I should be king over this people” (1 Kings 14:2).

TEXT: 1 Kings 14:1-20 (KJV)

1 At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick.

2 And Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself, that thou be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get thee to Shiloh: behold, there is Ahijah the prophet, which told me that I should be king over this people.

3 And take with thee ten loaves, and cracknels, and a cruse of honey, and go to him: he shall tell thee what shall become of the child.

4 And Jeroboam’s wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. But Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his age.

5 And the Lord said unto Ahijah, Behold, the wife of Jeroboam cometh to ask a thing of thee for her son; for he is sick: thus and thus shalt thou say unto her: for it shall be, when she cometh in, that she shall feign herself to be another woman.

6 And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings.

7 Go, tell Jeroboam, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Forasmuch as I exalted thee from among the people, and made thee prince over my people Israel,

8 And rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in mine eyes;

9 But hast done evil above all that were before thee: for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast me behind thy back:

10 Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel, and will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as a man taketh away dung, till it be all gone.

11 Him that dieth of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat: for the Lord hath spoken it.

12 Arise thou therefore, get thee to thine own house: and when thy feet enter into the city, the child shall die.

13 And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him: for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him there is found some good thing toward the Lord God of Israel in the house of Jeroboam.

14 Moreover the Lord shall raise him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now.

15 For the Lord shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the Lord to anger.

16 And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin.

17 And Jeroboam’s wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah: and when she came to the threshold of the door, the child died;

18 And they buried him; and all Israel mourned for him, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by the hand of his servant Ahijah the prophet.

19 And the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he warred, and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

20 And the days which Jeroboam reigned were two and twenty years: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his son reigned in his stead.

MESSAGE:

Man is used to playing games with fellow mortals and getting away with his pranks. But it is perilous to attempt the habit on God. That is where he would always meet his waterloo. It is safe turf for men of the world to try to outwit kindred spirits. However, it is outright fatal foolishness to engage in any tricks with God and His messengers and expect a happy end to the story.

It was a sad conclusion for the blasphemous and idolatrous king of Israel, Jeroboam, as he tried to pull a fast one on the true prophet of God, Ahijah. He asked his wife to disguise herself and go find out from the prophet if his ailing son would recover. The couple sought to take advantage of the blind man of God. They underrated the power of the Lord to shield His representative from exploitation or ridicule. He outsmarted them by exposing the identity of the pretender. The Lord also revealed to the prophet that the sick child would die while Jeroboam himself would have his kingship terminated.

It is folly to attempt to take advantage of the perceived weak- ness in a man of God to deceive or exploit him. They may not be as educated, widely travelled or exposed; but they possess the Holy Spirit. God cannot be fooled and trying to pull pranks on Him will be costly foolishness on the part of that individual. Ananias and Sapphira tried to do it with Peter and paid the ultimate price for it.

God’s servants and ministers must be held in high esteem and honoured. We must recognise that they are servants and living oracles of the almighty God. We must honour and respect His anointing upon their lives and never try to fool them so we can enjoy the full benefits of the power of God upon them.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Only the foolish will think He can fool God!

Following her inspiring first release of the year—a beautiful worship medley—worship leader Juwon Efanga returns with an uplifting new song titled ‘Koseunti.’

Koseunti‘ joyfully declares that God can effortlessly handle even the most daunting impossibilities. He fights every battle and emerges victorious every time. Our God never enters a war only to lose; He’s invincible! When we call out to Him, He graciously answers. No matter how tough a situation may be, with God in the picture, there’s always a radiant solution.

TREM Devotional – Go Forward

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 25 July 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Go Forward

TOPIC: Go Forward (TREM Devotional 25 July 2024)

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:” Exodus 14:15 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

After the Israelites had left Egypt, Pharaoh and his cohorts suddenly pursued them with horses and chariots to bring them back to slavery. You can see that the devil would always fight the plans and purposes of God over your life. But it’s too late because your God is always a step ahead. At the Red Sea, we are told that God’s people became stuck, and Pharaoh intensified his pursuit, thinking he had them pinned down.

But unknown to him, it was a set-up to wipe them all out. I perceive that God cleared His throat and commanded Moses to tell the people to go forward. Moses would have thought, how can we go forward when the Red Sea is right before us? However, all he ever heard was go forward, as impossible as it sounded. God had spoken, and there was no going back. God was saying, in effect, you may not see a way through the sea, but I am going to make a way for you even where none exists.

The clincher, however, was that Moses obeyed what God had said. Acting on what God said, the people walked through the sea supernaturally, without struggle and continued their journey as if nothing had happened. In like manner, I declare that this year, no plan of the enemy concerning your life will come to pass. God will prove Himself in your life. You will experience the supernatural. From today to the last day of this year, you will see the goodness of God in your life. God has given you His Word, so expect great things to happen for you. It is a decision you must take. You must choose to believe God for what He has said.

Stay connected to God’s Word, which is the only thing that is constant. Every other thing will fail, but not the Word. Remember that God’s Word to Moses was ‘Go Forward’, and for as long as he heeded what God said, he had victory.
