Topic: Jesus Is Committed To You [Wednesday March 7, 2018]
“Being confident of this very thing; that He who began a good work in you, will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”. Philippians 1:6
Today, I want to reassure you of the commitment of Jesus to you as a child of God. This commitment is not because of what you did but because of who He is. God loves you unconditionally. As a result, everything you may be facing right now will turn around for your good. Don’t ever forget that Jesus is committed to you. You must have this understanding and settle it in your spirit once and for all. Our text today says: “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you…” The beginning was not your idea. He began it. You didn’t beg Him. It was His choice to begin it and He will also finish it. He is committed to your success in life. He is committed to your wellbeing. He is committed to your children. Anything that touches you, touches Him. He is committed to you.
“Being confident of this very thing” means be assured. It means let there be no iota of doubt in you concerning this. At times, doubt wants to set in, you need to remind yourself that Jesus is committed to me at such time. If for instance, you desire a husband, you desire a good thing and I know there is a husband somewhere for you; God knows how to navigate him to where you are. He knows.
We serve a faithful God. Faithful is His name. Man can be unfaithful, but not God. He knows the number of hairs on your head. So, if number six drops on the ground, He knows. If number one or number seven drops, He knows. If He knows the minute details about you, is it the needs in your life He will not meet? Learn to trust Him. God promised that He will never leave you nor forsake you, so you can boldly say; the Lord is my helper… (Heb. 13:5-6). Walk around with this boldness and assurance that Jesus is committed to you.
