Topic: Key Thoughts On Praise [Sunday February 26, 2017]
Scripture: Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Habakkuk 3:17-18.
Thought For The Day: The intensity of your spirituality is equal to the intensity of your praise.
It has been confirmed that praise is the livewire of a Christian. To stop praising God is to sign for death because according to Psalm 150:6, “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.”
There are three key thoughts on praise that are vital for a shift to the next level in life:
- The highest thing a man can do for God is praise.
When you do for God what He cannot do for Himself (praise), He will do for you what you cannot do for yourself.
- If the devil wants to destroy a man’s life and destiny, he fights his praise life and his joy comes under attack.
It is important to know that the Israelites were destroyed because of murmuring (1 Corinthians 10:10).
- A healthy spirit fuels praise.
Your spirit is healthy when your prayer life and study of the Word are intact. Spiritual deficiency is a hindrance to praise (Act 2:46-47). The intensity of your spirituality is equal to the intensity of your praise. When your spirit is buoyant, your praise is vibrant. This is why an unbeliever cannot worship God.
Remember this: The intensity of your spirituality is equal to the intensity of your praise.
