Natalie Grant publishes the official lyric video for “Praise You In This Storm. This track was released last week, along with her upcoming album’s pre-order/pre-save. No Stranger is set to release August 28, 2020.
“Praise You in This Storm” was originally recorded by Casting Crowns in 2005 and it quickly became one of the band’s most renowned hits.
Natalie said, “When my husband co-wrote this song with Mark Hall of Casting Crowns almost 15 years ago, I had no idea how it would comfort me while I was in the middle of my own storm of cancer in 2017. Because of how personal it became to me, I decided to record it. We recorded it with the London Symphony last summer, but I had no idea then that it would be such a perfect message for such a time as this.”
When asked about the new version, Mark Hall said, “Natalie captured the heart of this song so beautifully. Raw, broken, and honest. Just the way our worship should be.”

Verse 1
I was sure by now
God, You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say, “Amen”
And it’s still raining
Pre-Chorus
And as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
Chorus
And I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
‘Cause You are who You are
No matter where I am
And every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hands
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
Verse 2
I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry, You
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can’t find You?
Pre-Chorus
But as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
Chorus
And I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
‘Cause You are who You are
No matter where I am
And every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hands
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm, oh-oh-oh
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
Bridge
I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The maker of Heaven and Earth
I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The maker of Heaven and Earth
You are my help
Chorus
And I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
‘Cause You are who You are
No matter where I am
And every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hands
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm, yeah
And though my heart is torn
I will praise
Outro
I will praise You in this storm
I will praise You in this storm
Praise You in this storm
I will praise You in this storm
