Nigerian gospel singer and songwriter John Olumayowa has blessed fans with a heartfelt new hymn, “Jesus Keep My Soul.” This track follows his recent release, “Hallelujah Jesus Rose Again,” and carries a powerful message about trusting Christ in a broken world.
The song centers on surrendering to Jesus, especially when facing the enemy’s attacks. In an interview, Olumayowa explained that the devil uses many tricks—big and small—to harm our spiritual lives. To overcome this, he points to Romans 12:1 in the Bible, urging believers to daily recommit their lives to Christ. “Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, we’ve been made new,” he says. “Our job is to keep handing our souls over to Him for protection, no matter what battles we face.”
