Nigerian Reggae Gospel Music Minister, Songwriter, and Producer, Buchi stepped out from his usual reggae space to create another sound that is very true with this root-releasing new Highlife-centric single-themed “Give Thanks”.
Born Buchi Atuonwu, the Gospel Music Minister hails from Abia State with a discography of 8 Studio albums with Reggaeton as the central genre of his music of worship, praise, prayer inspiration, and dance.
Embracing his origin from Eastern Nigeria, Buchi’s new release is Highlife, a genre of music peculiar to Igbo people and also a popular genre in West Africa.
“Give Thanks” by Buchi is a rhythm of thanksgiving and celebration. Commenting on the song, Buchi noted that, “This song is special to me because it is a song of gratitude as I turn 59.”
