Gbenga Akinfenwa releases the audio and visual of a powerful single titled ‘Oba To Nja Funmi‘, meaning ‘The King Who Fights For Me’.

Gbenga ‘Phatstrings’ Akinfenwa is a music producer, recording gospel artiste, songwriter, bass guitarist, and also the founder and CEO of Awesome Studios, a Lagos-based recording, editing and sound design outfit.

Having worked with diverse music artistes including Frank Edwards, Mike Abdul,TY Bello, Segun Obe, PITA, Oluwashalom, Naomi Mac, Amy Berna (USA) and a number of international TV and movie soundtracks, ‘Phatstrings’ as he’s often called has established his unique and distinctive sound in music production.

His latest single ‘Oba To Nja Fun Mi’ is a testament to his special gift, and many talents. Released on December 1st 2020, Gbenga describes the self-produced track as the testimony of his personal life.

He also has other well-received tracks to his name, some of which include  ‘Anu Ni Mo Rigba’ ,  ‘Di Mi Mu (Hold Me), ‘ATOBIJU’,  ‘Testimony in 7/8’ and ‘Simpily Because’ all of which have continued to garner great reviews on online and terrestrial stations, as well as being loved and performed by church choirs in Nigeria, USA, Canada, India etc.

As a songwriter, he penned and produced ‘Unquestionable’ for gospel vocal powerhouse Segun Obe and has songwriting credits on several other tracks.He is currently involved in songwriting arrangements and collaborations with a number of celebrated Gospel artistes.

Gbenga loves to write and produce soundtracks and movie scores, and has worked on an international animation movie and some TV productions.
