Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Beginning With Prayer

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 1 November 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Beginning With Prayer

TOPIC: Beginning With Prayer (Seeds Of Destiny 1 November 2024)

SCRIPTURE: ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up). (Luke 18:1; AMP)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Prayerlessness is a doorway to discouragement and defeat; to fail to pray is to lose heart and to give up in the face of battle.

MESSAGE:

I welcome you to the eleventh month of the Year, 2024, our year of Above-Only Existence.

We appreciate God for His faithfulness in our lives in the past ten months. And in this eleventh month, I decree that God shall cause you to see greater things, in Jesus’ Name.

On this first day of the month, we shall consider the subject of prayer. This is because prayer is the bedrock of a functional and fruitful Christian life.

I would like you to know that prayer becomes a burden when we don’t know the reason why we should pray.

For example, Students who don’t know the value of education write their examinations as if they are being punished. In the same way, when the purpose of prayer is not known, it becomes a burden, a weight or a punishment.

On the other hand, when the purpose of prayer is known, it becomes a delight and an excitement. It is possible for you to pray without ceasing when you know the purpose of prayer.

Now, one necessity of prayer is that Prayer is key to courage, determination and resilience.

Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that prayer makes people not to become cowards. It helps people not to give up or lose heart.

This means, prayerlessness is a door way to discouragement and defeat; to fail to pray is to lose heart and to give up in the face of battle.

One secret of Elijah, one of the most audacious men in the Bible, was his prayer life. He was bold and courageous to confront the wickedness of Ahab and Jezebel by the strength of prayer (1 Kings 18:16-19).

To fail to pray is to become discouraged and dispirited. To fail to pray is to end as a coward in the face of battle.

Beloved, I encourage you to embrace the discipline of persistent prayer. Apart from your personal prayer schedule, you can join online the COMMANDING THE DAY MIDNIGHT PRAYER by 11pm daily, Sunday to Friday, and 10:30pm only on Saturdays to increase your prayer fire. God bless you!
