Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Character, A Commander Of Followership

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 18 June 2023 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Character, A Commander Of Followership

TOPIC: Character, A Commander Of Followership (Seeds Of Destiny 18 June 2023)

SCRIPTURE: Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her. Esther 2:15

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Good character pulls the right people, opportunities, and resources in your direction, but bad character repels the right people, opportunities and resources.

MESSAGE:

Character has been confirmed to be a commander of followership. Integrity commands followership.

Character also commands or brings favour with people.

That was what happened to Esther in Esther 2:15 when she displayed good character of contentment and the eyes of all the people in the palace were fastened on her.

Character brings favour and favour helps in the fulfillment of destiny.

Character, good character, has magnetic capacity. Good character pulls the right people, opportunities, and resources in your direction, but bad character repels the right people, opportunities and resources.

You might have come across people that you wanted to run away from at the spot. You don’t like them; you don’t hate them either. But there is something that makes you want to avoid them at all cost.

It may be the character of verbal diarrhea. They can come to you and say one hundred words in one minute. And you can be saying within you, “I am tired of this kind of talk.”

In our university days, we had someone like that. The moment he met you, he would begin to talk anyhow. So, when anyone saw him coming, they just avoided him.

On the other hand, if you have a hospitable character, if your character is welcoming, your life would be pleasing to people, they would like to flock around you.

Jesus had massive followership at the frequency of godly and quality character. People always wanted to be with Him. The crowd followed Him.

You see, godly character attracts people to you, and when people are attracted to you, all the good things in their lives are also attracted to you. But when your life repels people because of the bankruptcy of good character, opportunities and privileges are also repelled from you.

Remember this: Good character pulls the right people, opportunities, and resources in your direction, but bad character repels the right people, opportunities and resources.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to uphold good character,
  2. Refuse to repel people from your life by negative character.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to uphold positive character. Let my life not repel good people from me Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY READING: Psalm 121-123.

AMAZING FACT: An Elephant’s tusk will continue to grow throughout its lifetime. An adult male’s tusk will grow about 7 inches each year on average.
