TOPIC: Disobedience And Rebellion – Destroyers Of Destiny (Seeds Of Destiny 18 August 2025)
SCRIPTURE: Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. – Ephesians 5:15-16 (AMP).
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is not possible for a disobedient and rebellious person to reach his destiny.
MESSAGE:
I said some time ago that the worst form of failure on earth is not the failure to make money, pass an examination or get married, but the failure to become who a person was created to be. The worst form of loss next to the loss of life is the loss or wastage of destiny. When a person arrives at the end of his life and realizes that he has lived a wasted life, it is a colossal and monumental loss.
The truth is, the devil does not care whatever a person becomes, for as long as it is not what God wants him to become. Knowing that destiny is so crucial, the devil fights it with passion. The devil would assist a person to run in the wrong direction for as long as he does not become what he is meant to be.
That is why it is important to identify the enemies of destiny and deal decisively with them. And today, we are looking at one of the enemies of destiny which is, The lifestyle of disobedience and rebellion to God.
It is not possible for a disobedient and rebellious person to reach his destiny. It was disobedience that dislocated the destiny of Adam and Eve. The plan and purpose of God for man in the Garden of Eden was aborted because of disobedience. Any time a person agrees to disobey God, such a person has agreed to have his/her destiny aborted.
Please take note of these about disobedience:
- Disobedience to God equals disconnection from destiny. Adam and Eve were sent out of the Garden of Eden because of disobedience (Genesis 3:22:24).
- Disobedience to God equals distance from God. Adam and Eve were driven from the presence of God at the frequency of disobedience (Genesis 3:9).
- Rebellion to God provokes rebellion from the earth. Everything rebels against the man who rebels against God. When your obedience is complete, nothing is permitted to disobey you but when your obedience is incomplete everything is permitted to rebel against you (2Corinthians 10:6).
Beloved, if God is not the driver of your destiny vehicle, then your destiny fulfilment is not guaranteed.
Remember this: It is not possible for a disobedient and rebellious person to reach his destiny.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Never respect anyone enough to agree to disobey God.
- Ask God for mercy if you have disobeyed or rebelled against Him.
- Never allow situations or offences make you rebel against God.
PRAYER: Lord, I am all Yours till eternity. Help me to continually love and obey You all the days of my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
