Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 13 March 2025 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Enlarging Territory By Engaging The Enemy

TOPIC: Enlarging Territory By Engaging The Enemy (Seeds Of Destiny 13 March 2025)

SCRIPTURE: And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac’s herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him. – Genesis 26:20

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You don’t exercise dominion or enlarge your territory until you engage the enemy.

MESSAGE:

It is important to understand that life is not a funfair; it is warfare. So, to win in life, you need a fighting spirit. God created us in His Image and gave us dominion. One way to exercise this dominion is the engagement of the fighting spirit. You don’t exercise dominion or enlarge your territory until you engage or confront the enemy.

In Genesis 26:17-22, Isaac reopened the wells his father Abraham had dug, the same wells the Philistines had filled after Abraham’s death. Isaac re-dug and renamed these wells, continuing his father’s work. But the local shepherds claimed each of the wells, saying, “This is our water.” They argued with Isaac’s herdsmen. Isaac named the well Esek, meaning “strife.” Isaac’s men then dug another well, but there was another dispute. He named that well Sitnah, meaning “opposition.”

But Isaac did not give up. He dug another well, and this time, the people left him alone, and Isaac called it Rehoboth, saying, “At last, the Lord has made room for us, and we will be able to thrive.

Beloved, you cannot enlarge your territory or exercise dominion until you engage the enemy. If you want to enlarge your spiritual territory, you must be ready to engage the enemy. If you want to exercise your dominion, you must be prepared to confront the opposition. Rehoboth—the place of enlargement—was achieved through both spiritual and physical confrontations or engagements with the enemy.

Remember this: You don’t exercise dominion or enlarge your territory until you engage the enemy.

ASSIGNMENT:

  1. Make up your mind to engage your enemy; do not turn your back on the enemy.
  2. Force your enemy to release your withheld inheritance or possession.

PRAYER: Father, I exercise dominion over every enemy of my life and family today. I command them to release anything their custody that belongs to me, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
