TOPIC – God’s Presence: A Gain Of Godly Character (Seeds Of Destiny 21 June 2023)
SCRIPTURE: Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. Psalms 24:3-4.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Good character attracts God.
MESSAGE:
It has been established that one of the gains of godly character is the attraction of God’s Presence. Godly character attracts the Presence and companionship of God.
Genesis 39:2 says,
And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
Also, Genesis 39:21 says,
But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
God was attracted to Joseph at the frequency of godly character.
So, godly character attracts the Presence and companionship of God and the Presence of God is the birth place of destiny! Good character attracts God.
Psalms 24:3-4 says,
Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
No liar can keep company with God. No thief can keep the company of God.
Isaiah 59:1-3 says,
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
God is far from a sinner. This is because God is too pure to behold iniquity (Habakkuk 1:13).
My counsel is, make up your mind to attract the presence and companionship of God by maintaining godly and quality character.
Remember this: Good character attracts God.

- Make up your mind to maintain godly and quality character.
- Ask God for the grace to resist the temptation to sin.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I ask for the grace and help to maintain godly character, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
