TOPIC: Healthy Mentality For Wealthy Living (Seeds Of Destiny 18 January 2023)
SCRIPTURE: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. Proverbs 23:7
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your mentality determines your reality.
MESSAGE:
The Scripture makes it clear that prosperity is the Will of God for His people.
Zechariah 1:17 says,
Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
However, even though prosperity is God’s Will for His children, many children of God have not touched the wealth of the Kingdom because of a poverty-centred mind-set.
Both wealth and poverty are products of mind-set. Wealth is a lifestyle sponsored by a mind-set; similarly, poverty is also a lifestyle sponsored by a mind-set.
There is a way poor people think regarding money and there is a way wealthy people think regarding money. A poor-minded person thinks of what to buy when he gets some money but a wealth-minded person thinks of how to multiply the money that comes his way.
Poor people have a hunter’s mentality towards money – kill and eat. Rich people have a shepherd’s mentality towards money – breed and multiply. A man with a poverty mentality can buy an expensive pair of shoes, yet he doesn’t have any money saved in his account. When you see a rich man with an expensive pair of shoes, he may be worth hundreds of millions of naira. Poor people do the things that sponsor poverty and rich people do the things that increase their riches.
Beloved, your mentality determines your reality. Always make up your mind to think positively and productively.
Remember this: Your mentality determines your reality.

- Do away with every poverty-centred mind-set. Renew your mind with the Word always.
- Develop a positive and productive mind-set for healthy and wealthy living.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You rid my mind of every negative mind-set and hunter’s mentality. I receive the grace to maintain the shepherd’s mentality in managing my resources, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
