Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 20 February 2022 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Love Is Complimentary
TOPIC: Love Is Complimentary
SCRIPTURE: Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 1 Corinthians 13:5.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Whatever compliments you can give without being misunderstood is a flow of love.
As Christians, the Scripture makes it clear that we were created in the Image of God (Genesis 1:27); and since God is Love (1 John 4:8), the implication is that we were created in the Image of Love. This means, love is our nature and character.
One characteristics of love is that love is not uncomplimentary or uncivil.
This means, love is complimentary. Love is civil.
You see, love can say to someone, “Oh, you are looking smart. What you are wearing fits you.”
Whatever compliments you can give without being misunderstood is a flow of love.
I compliment my wife and my children all the time. Sometimes, I say to my children, “Can you tell me what you did to look so good? Then they would laugh and say, “Daddy, it is because you gave birth to us, and you look fine!”
There are people who want others to say good things about them but they would not care about complimenting others. What do you want to reap? Sow it! If no one appreciates or commends you, the question is, do you appreciate, commend or compliment anyone?
If you tell some people, “Oh, Sister or Brother, I like your dress. I like your shoes”. Their response would always be, “Thank you”. Question is, why don’t you sow those compliments back to that person by saying, “Your dress is very good as well. I like yours too. I am only as smart as you are”. etc.
When you are given compliments, sow it back almost immediately. You see, the truth of the matter is, where love is at work, compliments flow out naturally.
Beloved, make up your mind to always compliment people. And when you are given a compliment, sow it back. That is love.
REMEMBER THIS: Whatever compliments you can give without being misunderstood is a flow of love.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Always make up your mind to compliment people.
- When you are given a compliment, sow it back to the person who complimented you.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to release compliments always. Help me not to be mean in appreciating people and their works, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: True spiritual growth is defined by increasing capacity to love what God loves and hate what God hates. Culled from “WHO ARE YOU?” by Dr Paul Enenche.
DAILY BIBLE READING: Judges 17-20.
REFLECTION: Love-filled people make everyone to feel good around them. Self-filled people make everyone to feel small around them. They magnify their importance and minimize the relevance of others. Where do you belong?
PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: The Lord cause the value of your life to increase as you enhance the value of others.
