SCRIPTURE: Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. Job 23:12.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anyone who does not value the Word of God does not value his future.
MESSAGE:
The Word of God is the Container and Depot of God’s Goodness. The Word of God is the access key to the goodness of God.
That is why to have value for God’s Word is to have value for one’s life and future. And anyone who does not value the Word of God does not value his future.
The reason why people have perennial problems is the lack of value for God’s Word. They do not have time to study the Word of God. They are always looking for pastors to pray for them.
But there is a time to sit down before God and say, ‘Lord, speak to me from Your Word. In the service today, speak to me.’
Sometime ago, a single young man sat in the church while I was preaching a message. And inside that message, he was hearing the name of his wife-to-be. When I read a Bible verse, he would hear his wife’s name; that is, the name of the sister he was meant to marry.
When I read another verse of the Bible, he would hear the same name again. At the end, he located the sister by Divine direction and married her. They have lived as a married couple for more than eleven years now.
So, do you know that while the pastor is preaching, God can cause you to hear something else? This happens because the pastor is preaching by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and God knows what you need in your life. So, when you set yourself to hear God’s Word, God can cause you to hear something else that is beneficial to you, or something that you need at that time.
My counsel is, value God’s Word so you can access the treasures of the Word.
REMEMBER THIS: Anyone that does not value the Word of God does not value his future.

- Spend time studying, praying and doing the Word.
PRAYER: I receive the grace to value Your Word Lord. Help me to study, pray and obey Your Word, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
