Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Impact Of Your Nature On Your Future

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 18 November 2025 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Impact Of Your Nature On Your Future

TOPIC: The Impact Of Your Nature On Your Future (Seeds Of Destiny 18 November 2025)

SCRIPTURE: throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. Ephesians 4:22-24

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your nature determines your future.

MESSAGE

History, scriptural and contemporary events confirm that a person’s nature can limit their future. There are certain things in people’s lives that are the reason why they cannot go beyond where they are. For example, when God told Abraham to come out of his people, He was, in essence, telling Abraham to come out of his culture.
Beloved, your nature determines your future.

For instance, an ill-tempered man or woman will never be able to keep a home. A person who has no control over money cannot work in a bank. Otherwise, he will be sent to prison in a short time. A man who has no control over his body cannot work successfully in a girls-alone school.

Many people are praying, “Oh God, when will my change come?” and God is saying, “Wait until your nature changes.” Many of us don’t know ourselves until God shows us who we really are.

Moses was carrying a rod that could be turned into a snake, and he never knew for forty years. God asked him, “What is in your hand?” He said, “A stick.” God said, “Drop it on the ground.” When Moses did, it became a snake, and he began to run (Exodus 4:2-3).

Sometimes, if God reveals to you what you truly carry (your capability), you might be so afraid that you would want to run away.

Beloved, if there is anything God wants to achieve in us, it is to reveal to us a nature that is fighting against our future. Who you are might be the enemy of who you are supposed to be. It is when you come to the end of who you are that who you are meant to be begins to unfold. You cannot go beyond average existence until you live above average. You cannot make a difference on earth until you are clearly different from the rest.

To reach where you are meant to reach, there are habits to discard and habits to embrace. Maybe you spend too much time on your phone; maybe you are given to watching movies that are not profitable to your life or assignment; maybe you are into smoking, womanizing or fornication; those are habits you must discard.

The key to changing your life is embracing the right habits, those habits that empower you to succeed despite challenges.

Kingdom principles are stronger than any opposition, and God can show you something to do that will leave the enemy powerless. While struggles can be overcome with help, lifestyle choices require personal commitment to change. So, make up your mind to possess nature that will guarantee your future.

REMEMBER THIS: Your nature determines your future
