TOPIC: The Necessity Of Power (Seeds Of Destiny 16 November 2025)
SCRIPTURE: O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. – Psalms 63:1-2
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anywhere power is lacking, obstacles are unmovable.
MESSAGE
We live in a very challenging time. We need the power of God more than ever before to survive the challenges of the time.
In a generation where there is an escalation of wickedness and godlessness, walking in power is non-negotiable. If a person must exist in the realm of perpetual victory, the Power of God is required.
Not knowing the necessity of power is to exist without it, and to exist without power is to exist as a potential casualty.
I have also discovered that encounters are products of hunger. It takes men and women who are sufficiently hungry for power to encounter the Power of God.
So, why is the Power of God necessary?
Today, in this study, we shall be looking at a few necessities of God’s Power in the life of the child of God:
1. Power uproots obstacles and creates openings. Job 26:12 says, He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud. Anywhere power is lacking, obstacles are unmovable; openings remain non-existent. The power of God is the secret of supernatural open doors. If there is something (an obstacle) that refuses to move, standing in front of you, the diagnosis is simple; it is the shortage of power.
Beloved, the problem we have is not the powerfulness of the devil, but the powerlessness of the saints. It is not the powerfulness of the opposition, but the powerlessness of the believer. You need the Power of God, so you don’t have anything called obstruction or obstacle on your journey of destiny.
2. Power is the secret of exaltation (Job 36:22). Power is the secret of a rise. Power is key to promotion in the kingdom. Job 36:22 says, Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him? God exalts people by His own Power, not by your connections. It is not by who you know or who you don’t know. Promotion or advancement does not come from any human connection; promotion comes from God who is the true judge and sovereign authority in the universe (Psalm 75:6-7).
The power of God is the reason why no witch can sit on your head. It is the reason why no agent of the devil in the name of a boss can sit on your promotion.
Beloved, don’t walk about as a powerless churchgoer. Trust God to impart you with some dosage of His Power.
REMEMBER THIS: Anywhere power is lacking, obstacles are unmovable.

PRAYER: Father, baptize me with an unquenchable hunger for your power. Help me not to exist as a powerless Christian, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
