Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Principles Of Love

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 12 December 2025 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Principles Of Love

TOPIC: The Principles Of Love (Seeds Of Destiny 12 December 2025)

SCRIPTURE: But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. Luke 10:33-34.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: What you don’t like, you must lack, and what you don’t celebrate, you will never attract.

MESSAGE

The scripture makes it clear that God is love (1John 4:8). And in the beginning, God created the earth Genesis 1:1). It means, in the beginning, God who is Love created the earth. So, the earth was created by Love, and it is meant to be operated in love and by love.

But unfortunately, we live in a generation where many people are bankrupt of love. That is why it is important to understand the major principles of love so we can walk in it.

Now, what is love all about?

  1. Love is about the maintenance of goodwill and kind-heartedness towards others. This is about wishing people well and being kind to them.

There are those whose minds are filled with bad will. If you are not looking depressed, it is a challenge to them. But if you are looking pitiable and harass-able, then you draw their attention. In Africa, there is a lot of witchcraft. And witchcraft is nothing but wishes that are crafty. We live in a very hateful and envious world. No one wants another person to rise.

This behaviour is typical of crabs. If you put one hundred crabs in a basket, you don’t need to cover the basket because no crab can escape from the basket. If one attempts to climb out, the remaining ninety-nine will pull it back. In other words, “Where do you think you are going?” I coined a word for it in English called “CRABOLOGY.”

The truth is, what you don’t like, you must lack, and what you don’t celebrate, you will never attract.

Anywhere you see good things, be happy with them, because whatever you sow is what you will reap (Luke 6:38).

You see, no star is shining at the expense of another star.

Nobody’s success is the reason for another person’s failure. So, Beloved, wish your husband, wife, friends, neighbors, and everyone well.

  1. Love is about possessing a healthy consideration for the feelings, emotions, and hurts of others.

This is feeling what others feel. In your actions, put the feelings and emotions of others into consideration.

Today, there are those who are hardened against the feelings of their wives, husbands, friends, etc. The truth is that what pains you, will also pain others. People are killers because they have no regard for the feelings of anyone. A man would kill a fellow man without minding how the wife, mother, friends, relations or dependants of the man would feel. All he wants is the little money he is being paid as a hired assassin, a dealer in human spare parts, a ritual killer, or a kidnapper. Our world is upside down because God’s framework for the creation of the world has not been followed.

Beloved, putting the feelings or emotions of others into consideration is what love is about. That was what the good Samaritan did for the man who was attacked on the highway by armed robbers. And you don’t need to go too far; start from where you are.

Consider the feelings of those around you.

Remember this: What you don’t like, you must lack, and what you don’t celebrate, you will never attract.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

  1. Pray for everyone you know that is blessed and trust God to take you up too.
  2. Show love and kindness to people around you, especially those in need.
  3. Before you take an action, consider the impact of that action on others.
  4. Forgive those who hurt you and refuse to deliberately hurt others.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to make positive impact on the lives of people. When people encounter me, let them feel Your love through me, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
