TOPIC: The Root Of Wickedness (Seeds Of Destiny 15 December 2025)
SCRIPTURE: Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Romans 13:8-9.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Where love is at work, the law is in place. Those who walk in love easily keep the law.
MESSAGE
One of the greatest challenges on earth today is the alarming rate of wickedness sponsored by the shortage of love.
The thief steals because he does not love those he steals from. The killer kills because he does not love his victims. The rapist rapes because he doesn’t love those he rapes. The fraudulent government official is greedy, fraudulent and wicked because he does not love the people.
So, where love is at work, the law is in place. Those who walk in love easily keep the law. It is easier to keep the law when you walk in love.
To walk in love is to keep the law. If you love your neighbour, you won’t seduce and snatch their spouse. The major issue in our generation is the lack of love, which is the mother of all wickedness. The Scripture also lends credence to the fact that there is a challenge of bankruptcy of love on the earth. And the outcome of this lovelessness is characterlessness and unrighteousness.
Romans 13:10 says, Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. This implies that if you can observe love, you don’t need to remember the commandments. Love is the fulfilment of the law. So, lovelessness equals lawlessness. If love is the fulfilment of the law, then to be loveless is to be lawless.
Lovelessness is the way of wickedness, ruthlessness, and viciousness. It is the lack of consideration for others that can make someone steal what belongs to another person.
Beloved, your Godliness can be measured by your loveliness. To be Godly is to be loving.
Nothing else can convince God or the devil that you are godly except that you are loving.
Nearness to God equals fullness of love. Many times, when I come out of my closet, I am full of smiles, and my arms are wide open for my wife to come and receive an embrace. If hugging could cause a health challenge, then my people would have been suffering from it.
Beloved, avoid lovelessness so you can escape lawlessness.
Remember this: Where love is at work, the law is in place. Those who walk in love easily keep the law.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Refuse to be influenced by the wickedness of this world.
- Always show people love and find out about how people around you are doing.
- Ask God to baptize you with the spirit of love.
PRAYER: Father, baptize me with the spirit of Your Love. Help me to love just like You do, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
