Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 19 March 2025 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Transformational Power Of Prayer
TOPIC: The Transformational Power Of Prayer (Seeds Of Destiny 19 March 2025)
SCRIPTURE: And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. Luke 9:29
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The person who prays is changed by his prayer.
MESSAGE:
The lifestyle of prayer is a major way of upholding godly character.
While teaching His disciples on the subject of prayer, Jesus Christ, in Matthew 6:12, says, And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. This means, “Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.” When your sins are forgiven, you are made righteous before God.
This is the point: prayer does not only change things; prayer also changes the person who prays. Prayer essentially transforms people. The person who prays is changed by their prayer. Before your prayer changes your situation, it first changes you. The first beneficiary of prayer is the one who prays.
Luke 9:29 says, And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. Prayer transforms those who pray. Every genuine prayer person is a transformed person, transformed by their own prayer life. I am not talking about someone asking God to change them during prayer, but the process in which the prayer itself changes them.
For example, you may decide to fast for seven days, trusting God for something. At the end of the fast, if you truly prayed, the exercise of prayer and fasting would change who you are, even before it changes the situation you are asking God to change. Prayer transforms or changes the life of the person who prays.
Beloved, commit yourself to a lifestyle of consistent prayer so you can experience the transformation of your life.
Remember this: The person who prays is changed by their prayer.

QUOTE: There are various levels of intensity in prayer. Some pray as if they are whispering, calling someone; others pray as if they are calling ‘suya, suya, suya!’ Some pray as though they are calling ‘mama, mama,’ while others pray with fervent ‘fire tongues!’ Culled from the book, “Thou Art My Battle Axe” by Dr. Paul Enenche
