TOPIC: The Way Of Uprightness (Seeds Of Destiny 14 January 2025)
SCRIPTURE: Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Psalm 1:1
THOUGHT: The way of uprightness or righteousness is the way of blessedness; and the way of crookedness is the way of wretchedness.
MESSAGE:
It has been established that the Blessing of the Lord is one benefit of godly character. Psalm 1:1 says, Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Psalm 24:3-5 says, Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. You see, there is the blessedness of uprightness. The upright person shall receive the blessing of the Lord. Job 1:1 says, There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
Job was a righteous man, and Job 1:10 shows his blessing because of his uprightness. Job 1:10 says, Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. The way of uprightness or righteousness is the way of blessedness; and the way of crookedness is the way of wretchedness. Beloved, make up your mind to be upright so you can enjoy the Blessing of the LORD.
Remember this: The way of uprightness or righteousness is the way of blessedness; and the way of crookedness is the way of wretchedness.
ASSIGNMENT:
- Make up your mind to tread on the pathway of uprightness so you can access the Blessing of the LORD.
- Avoid the way of crookedness, wickedness, evil and iniquity.
PRAYER: Father, I receive the grace to live and maintain the lifestyle of uprightness and righteousness. Deliver me from the pathway of evil, O LORD, in Jesus’ Name.
