TOPIC — Total Surrender: An Avenue Of Worship (Seeds Of Destiny 1 February 2023)
SCRIPTURE: This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. Isaiah 43:21
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To praise God is to come to the point of recognizing that your life is consecrated to Him.
MESSAGE:
You are welcome to the month of February 2023. In this month, I decree that God shall perfect all that concerns you, in Jesus’ Name.
Our anchor Scripture reveals that we are formed by God and for God, for the purpose of showing forth His Praise.
This means, having this understanding and allowing God to run or direct the affairs of your life is genuine praise and worship. Genuine praise requires total surrender. It is coming to the point of recognizing that your life and time on earth are not yours.
Many years ago, we used to sing a hymn from the Methodist Hymnbook and SS & S that says;
Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in endless praise.
When you come to the point where God owns your life and all that you have, you are offering genuine praise and worship to Him. To praise God is to come to the point of recognizing that your life is consecrated to Him. It is to know and acknowledge that there is nothing you have that is yours but God’s. This is because you were formed by God and for God, and not for yourself or society.
Satan runs the lives of all the people in hellfire. That means to go to hell is to surrender your life to the devil. But in Heaven and on Earth, God runs the lives of all those who submit to Him.
Allowing God to own your life is therefore, an expression of praise and worship to Him.
Beloved, determine to surrender or re-dedicate your life to God afresh as a mark of your genuine praise and worship of Him.
Remember this: To praise God is to come to the point of recognizing that your life is consecrated to Him.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Allow God to own you completely.
- Refuse to live independent of God.
- Live a life of genuine praise and worship by total and unconditional surrender to God.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to surrender my life totally and unconditionally to You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
