Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 9 November 2025 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Understanding Our Destiny

TOPIC: Understanding Our Destiny (Seeds Of Destiny 89November 2025)

SCRIPTURE: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Stop seeing yourself like some inferior or wastable material.

MESSAGE

We live in a generation where many people take everything that happens to other people as their destiny.

Whenever something bad happens to someone, some people would say, “That is his or her destiny.” And the truth is, what you believe determines what you receive. Your belief affects your experience. So, it is crucial to understand what destiny is all about. It is important to know what God’s plan for your life is, so you can fulfil your destiny.

Now, what is destiny?

  1. Destiny is the expected end that God has for His people (Jeremiah 29:11). It is the expected end, not what happens by chance, not the unexpected negative or tragic things that happen to people.
  2. Destiny is God’s thought or blueprint for His people. It is crucial to note that God has no little plan or thought for His people. The plans of God are mega, giant and enormous. They are grand plans.

A search through the scriptures confirms that when God makes references to His people, He does not use small symbols or figures; He uses mega things.

Now, let us look at what our destiny is according to Scripture.

  1. We have a destiny of dominion (Genesis 1:28). Our destiny puts us in charge of the affairs of life. It puts us above. Psalm 8:6 says, Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: So, we have a destiny of dominion. We have a destiny of being in charge. We have a destiny of subduing the forces of the earth under our feet.
  2. We have the destiny of the eagle (Deuteronomy 32:11-13). The symbols that God uses for us in scripture are not small. Isaiah 40:31 says, But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

The meaning is, whatever the eagle is among birds is what you are designed to be among men. The eagle is the king of birds. The eagle flies 10,000 feet above sea level, carries weight three times its size, moves almost at the speed of a car. It is a symbol of royalty and dignity in many cultures. It is also a symbol of power and authority. It features prominently in the coat of arms of many nations of the earth. That is the eagle, and that is your realm.
Some of us have the consciousness of this more than others. That is why we move about feeling inferior to nobody under heaven.

Beloved, stop seeing yourself as a chicken. Stop seeing yourself like some inferior or wastable material. You must live with the mentality and audacity of an eagle. Eagles terrorize other animals, including snakes. So, you are the one to terrorize the enemy and not the other way round.

Remember this: Stop seeing yourself like some inferior or wastable material.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

  1. Move with the mentality of an eagle; refuse to be intimidated by anything or anyone.
  2. Refuse to see yourself less than how God sees you.
  3. Consciously remind yourself who you are in Christ; speak positively to yourself.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for creating me with the dominion mandate. I am taking charge on earth, and I am taking the lead in everything I do, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
