Topic: The Consciousness Of Christ In You [Saturday, May 6th]
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).*_
In Colossians 1, the Apostle Paul spoke plainly when he explained the Gospel as it pertains to the Gentiles. I want you to understand the construction in the twenty-seventh verse: “…this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
A “mystery” connotes esoteric communication or language; something revealed, but only to a select few. That mystery, the Bible says, is “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” What does this truth mean? First, it means glory revealed, glory realized, glory manifested in your life! The reproaches are gone; you now have a life of honour and excellence.
I would to God everyone in the body of Christ would understand this! For example, when Christ is manifested in the life of a sinner, the power of sin is broken, and righteousness takes effect. When He’s manifested in the life of one who’s been bound, the chains are broken, and deliverance takes place. When He’s manifested in your life, everything that’s of darkness is dispelled.
It reminds of Peter’s encounter with Aeneas, who had been paralysed and bedridden for eight years, but he was a Christian. Peter didn’t have to pray for him; all he said was, “Aeneas, Christ makes you well: rise up!” Immediately, the man jumped off his sickbed (Acts 9:33-34). If you’re sick in your body today, what you need is the manifestation of Christ in your physical body. The consciousness of the life of Christ in you will make you invincible and eternally triumphant.
Now that you’re born again, the life in you is the supernatural life of Christ. Christ has fully tabernacled in you! You’ve become His living headquarters; He looks through your eyes and walks with your legs because you’ve become His vessel; His body.
CONFESSION
Christ lives in me; He’s my righteousness, my glory, and my beauty. His life and nature in me makes me invincible and triumphant! I’m healthy, strong, excellent and vibrant! I manifest the character of Christ to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
