Topic: The Helper Is In You [Saturday, February 11th]
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever—(John 14:16 AMP).
As a child of God, it’s important to know that no one, but the Holy Spirit, can and will lead you into your destiny of greatness. Of course, the Lord can use people to bless you; but don’t make the mistake of thinking such people can only be found in the “palaces” or high places of life.
Think about it: Where was Joseph when he met the man that introduced him to Pharaoh, and ultimately, his destiny in Egypt? He was in prison! The reason God sent him to the prison was because the man who was to introduce him to Pharaoh would be coming there too. His life was programmed to go that way. In the same way, God has programmed your life. Your life has been predetermined and prearranged by God. Yours is to follow the guidance and leading of the Holy Spirit.
Wherever God has placed you, there’s greatness there for you. Don’t look in the wrong places for help. In Psalm 121:1-2, David said, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” David knew his help wasn’t from man. He looked to heaven. But you know what? Today, our help isn’t from above, because the Helper now lives in us! He’s the Holy Spirit. He left heaven and came to the earth, to be in us.
Jesus was the Helper when He walked the earth, but prior to His ascension, He said, “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper.” Your Helper—the Holy Spirit—is in you now. So, don’t look to the hills for help; don’t look to heaven for help, for the Helper already came from heaven, to live in you. As you maintain a rich fellowship with the Holy Spirit, He’ll guide your steps, and help you fulfil your destiny in Christ.
PRAYER
Dear Holy Spirit, I’m constantly mindful of your indwelling and abiding presence which has made me a victor and a master over circumstances. Fears, worries, darkness, confusion and uncertainty have no place in me. I take advantage of your presence, and bask in the glory and transformation that it brings, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
