Dunamis Daily Devotional – The Lord Our Deliverer

Topic: The Lord Our Deliverer [Monday March 19, 2018]

Scripture: And he said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. 2 Samuel 22:2-3

Thought For The Day: God is eternally committed to the preservation and deliverance of His people even in dangerous times.

We are aware that we live in very dangerous times. We live in an increasingly wicked world. However, the good news is, no matter how dangerous the world is or how wicked people have become, we serve a God who is eternally committed to the preservation and deliverance of His people even in dangerous times.

David was a man in scriptures who experienced the deliverance power of God. From our anchor scripture, David acknowledged God as his Rock, Fortress and Deliverer when the Lord delivered him from all his enemies and from the hands of Saul.

From scriptural records, David confronted more dangers and wickedness than anyone in the Old Testament. He confronted dangers by fighting the lion, the bear and Goliath. He also fought the Philistines, the Amalekites and escaped the javelin of Saul many times. Theological accounts have it that he fought 66 battles and lost none (1 Chronicles 29:26-28).

Beloved, it does not matter what you have faced or are facing right now, you shall end well. The devil that failed to abort you in your mother’s womb will fail permanently in Jesus’ Name.

Remember This: God is eternally committed to the preservation and deliverance of His people even in dangerous times.

Assignments:
1. Make demands on the preservation power of God in prayer.
2. Thrive on positive faith-building light especially from the Word of God; not on negative news.

Prayer: O Lord, I ask for Your preservation power on my life. I acknowledge that You are my Rock, my Fortress and my Deliverer. Thank You Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
