When Faith Meets Football | The Super Bowl Gospel Celebration 2017

Faith met football last night at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas  ya’ll with the 18th annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration.

Prairie View A&M University Marching Storm kicked things off, followed by Lecrae who got the crowd hyped by performing  “All I Need Is You”  and then David and Tamela Mann as official host of the event, took to the stage to usher in a night of true praise, worship and testimonies of faith from former and current NFL Players.

Tamela Mann ripped Lakewood Church to pieces when she sang through a heartfelt rendition of “God Provides,” the audience started shouting, and worshipping God.

Contemporary Christian artist Natalie Grant saturated the atmosphere with worship as she sang her hit songs “King of the World” and “Clean.”

“I don’t need the government to solve my problems,”  Grant declared to the crowd, who cheered as they had their hands lifted.

Houston’s own and radio show host, Yolanda Adams took the stage and performed a medley of hits, and  Grammy Award winning artist, CeCe Winans, who just released her highly anticipated CD, Let Them Fall In Love after being away for 9 years (we’re so happy she’s back) took the stage and performed Never Have To Be Alone, and Peace From God.
Other performers included Anthony Hamilton, Lalah Hathaway, BJ The Chicago Kid, and crowd favorite, the NFL Players Choir.

Make sure you tune into BET on Sunday, Feb. 5th to check out the show.
