Wisdom For The Day Devotional 27 April 2025 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Act On What You Hear
TOPIC: Act On What You Hear (TREM Devotional 27 April 2025)
“When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.” (Mark 5:27 KJV)
MESSAGE:
There are many voices that are speaking in our world today. But the secret of good success is the ability to hear the voice of God in the midst of the noise, distill it, and act on it. The woman with the issue of blood not only heard about Jesus but she also acted on what she heard. She heard that Jesus heals the sick. She came near, saw the crowd, and knew that she could not get His attention easily. She found a strategy to act on what she heard. She came in and press behind and touched His garment because she said, “…If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.” (Mark 5:28 KJV)
Even when the hour is dark, God is still speaking and you need to listen to know what He is saying. What He is saying should be your focus and not what the devil is doing. The scripture must be fulfilled. It will get darker in the world, but God does not expect us to be confused or caught unguarded. God wants to speak into your future and give you insight ahead of the challenge.
Believe God! He never gave His word to us as a religious cliché. He gave it to us, so we can have something tangible to focus on. Yes, things may be difficult in the world but it is all working for His greater glory. He has assured us that this is our year of REST. But the question is what are you doing with what you have heard? The woman heard that Jesus heals the sick, raises the dead, and what she heard gave her spiritual energy. She arose and worked on what she heard. I challenge you today to rise up in the power of the Word you have received and no power will be able to stop you.
