TOPIC: Christianity Is A Matter Of The Heart (TREM Devotional 9 February 2026)
“So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.” – Psalms 78:72 (NKJV)
MESSAGE
Beloved, the essence of our Christian faith begins in the heart. It is not merely a matter of outward profession or empty words. David led the people by the integrity of his heart and the skillfulness of his hands. Notice the sequence; the heart first, then the hands.
Many people are skillful, yet lack integrity. Their actions may appear impressive, but their hearts tell a different story. David fed and led the people according to the integrity within him. In other words, you cannot give what you do not possess. Without integrity in your heart, you cannot manifest integrity in your life.
Beloved, integrity always pays. It may not yield immediate results, but it is the only sustainable path to genuine success. In today’s fast-paced world, many are caught up in the rat race, “I want this! I want that! I want to achieve this! I want to achieve that!” Yet God is far more interested in how you achieve what you flaunt as success.
At the end of the day, it is the Lord who validates, not human applause. Don’t become addicted to the approval of men. Avoid cutting corners or compromising your principles just to impress others.
If God does not approve of you, then no amount of human approval can make you truly approved. The only validation that matters is God’s.
Where is your heart? Why are you blending in with the world when God has called you to be set apart? Scripture clearly instructs us: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” – Romans 12:2 (KJV)
Your heart is the foundation of your faith. Guard it, nurture it, and let it guide your every action.
