Wisdom For The Day Devotional 14 December 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Delight Yourself In The Lord

TOPIC: Delight Yourself In The Lord (TREM Devotional 14 December 2022)

“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” Psalm 37:4 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

The God that we serve does not jump ship. He knows how to stick with His people. He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. That was what David had going on for him. David who was forgotten at the backside of the desert, was rejected, abandoned. But that was what he had going for him because when you look at 1 Samuel 18:12, “…Saul was afraid of David because the Lord was with him, and was departed from Saul.” That was why it was David who was able to overcome Goliath.

1 Samuel 18:14 says that David behaved himself wisely in all his ways, and the LORD was with him. It’s very important when God is with you. When your relationship is intact with God, there is no way you can lose. It does not matter what comes against you. The bible says thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand, there are pleasures forevermore (Psalms 16:11). He will show you the path of life, where to invest, how to survive the challenges of life, and how to navigate yourself through the banana peels of life.

So what do I do? Our text scripture says delight thyself also in the LORD, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Just enjoy God, celebrate Him, call him His name, dance before His presence, shake before His presence, and get involved in what pleases Him. You are probably struggling because you are doing what you shouldn’t do. Your part is to delight in Him and He shall give you the desire of your heart. A turnaround is coming to your spiritual life! Good and better things are coming! I declare that no harm will come to you. No sickness will come near your dwelling. Your going out is blessed, and your coming in is blessed. All that pertains to you is declared blessed in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY CONFESSIONS: December 11th – December 17th

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He is my keeper, the shade upon my right hand. The sun will not smite me by day; neither will the moon by night. The Lord will keep me from all evil, He will keep my life. The Lord will keep my going out and my coming in from this time forth and forever. The Lord girds me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like hinds feet and sets me upon high places. He teaches my hands to war so that a bow of steel is broken by my arms. (Psalm 18:32-34, Ps. 23:1, Ps 121:5-8)

The Lord will cause my eyes to see the hidden riches in secret places; I will be sought after. This is my season of recovery; everything the locust, the cankerworm, the palmer worm has eaten shall all be restored unto me. I will pursue, overtake and recover all (Is. 45:3, Joel 2:25; 1 Sam 30:8)

Every day and in every way I am getting better: spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, morally, and in all my endeavours.

I am called for a purpose. I will fulfill this purpose and I will arrive at God’s ordained destiny for my life. Nothing will cut me short. I will make a formidable impact in my world for the Kingdom.

IT IS MY WEEK OF ACCELERATION!
