Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 18 January 2025 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Fill Your World

TOPIC: Fill Your World (TREM Devotional 18 January 2025)

“Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.” (John 12:3 KJV)

MESSAGE

Some believers are extremely uncomfortable around sinners, yet we are sent to sinners. We refuse and resent the very people we are sent to. We despise the very people for whom we build our large auditoriums and cathedrals. No wonder we cannot fill the Churches. If every one of us ministers to a sinner, our churches will be filled. The truth is people have problems and they need Christ. They don’t have to see God physically. Jesus said if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. So once they see you, they should see Jesus, because you are a carrier of Jesus everywhere you go – He is inside you.

When Mary came in to Jesus with the alabaster box of ointment, the religious people only knew her as a sinner and so they turned up their nose because they did not recognize what she was carrying. When she broke the box, she did not have to announce the content, the aroma filled the room. Everyone knew immediately that she was carrying an expensive ointment. They stopped talking about her and started talking about the aroma.

From this moment onwards, you are going to fill the room. You are going to fill your world, and people will talk about the treasure inside you. Hitherto, they have disregarded you, rejected you, abandoned you and called you a-nobody, but God says you will be celebrated because of what you are carrying. They will look for you. They looked for Daniel, they will look for you. They looked for Joseph, they will look for you. Anywhere you go, they will look for you. Laban will look for you. Potiphar will look for you. The government will look for you. The business world will look for you. The dream job will look for you. Anywhere you go, you will no longer be ignored because of the heavy load you are carrying.

DAILY CONFESSION

The Lord is my Rock and my Fortress, and my Deliverer. He is my God and in Him do I trust. He is my buckler and the horn of my salvation and my high tower. I have called upon the Lord for He is worthy to be praised and He has saved me from my enemies (Psalms 18:2-3)

God hath given me riches and wealth, and hath given me power to eat thereof, and to take my portion in the land , and to rejoice in my labour; this is my gift from God, Every place that the sole of my foot shall tread upon, the Lord has given unto me as He promised. . (Eccl 5:19, Joshua1:3)

Every day and in every way I am getting better: spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, morally, and in all my endeavours.

I am called for a purpose; I will fulfill this purpose and I will arrive at God’s ordained destiny for my life. Nothing will cut me short. I will make a formidable impact in my world for the Kingdom. Therefore, I declare that I am a person of integrity, I am spiritually fervent, I am accountable in all I do because I’ve been raised to live the Kingdom Life here on earth.

It is my day of Rest!
