TREM Devotional – God Called You To Serve Him

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 13 December 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – God Called You To Serve Him

TOPIC: God Called You To Serve Him (TREM Devotional 13 December 2022)

“And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.” Exodus 5:1 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

The reason why God called you primarily is to serve Him. When God called Moses in Exodus and sent him to Pharaoh. He told him to tell Pharaoh, let my people go so that they may serve me, not to look for a house or car, building, or marriage. But that they should hold a feast for me. That’s all the reasons you need in life. He further instructed Moses to tell the people “And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfill.

When you are connected to God every other thing will manifest in your life. Do you know something that is so powerful? In those days, slaves were sold naked. He came empty and naked and owned nothing. Yet the Bible has this to say about Joseph in Genesis 39:1-2 “And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmaelite, which had brought him down thither. And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man.”

That sounds like an oxymoron, a paradox. How can a slave be prosperous? He went into Egypt without anything and suddenly he was prosperous. What was the reason? The source of his prosperity was not in his benefits but because the Lord was with him. That is the key. That is where the rubber meets the road. The Lord was with Joseph and as a result, his prosperity was guaranteed. As you serve God, He will certainly satisfy the yearnings and desires of your heart. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, settle it in your heart that you will certainly testify because what God has done for one is a testimony of what He will do for another.

DAILY CONFESSIONS: December 11th – December 17th

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He is my keeper, the shade upon my right hand. The sun will not smite me by day; neither will the moon by night. The Lord will keep me from all evil, He will keep my life. The Lord will keep my going out and my coming in from this time forth and forever. The Lord girds me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like hinds feet and sets me upon high places. He teaches my hands to war so that a bow of steel is broken by my arms. (Psalm 18:32-34, Ps. 23:1, Ps 121:5-8)

The Lord will cause my eyes to see the hidden riches in secret places; I will be sought after. This is my season of recovery; everything the locust, the cankerworm, the palmer worm has eaten shall all be restored unto me. I will pursue, overtake and recover all (Is. 45:3, Joel 2:25; 1 Sam 30:8)

Every day and in every way I am getting better: spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, morally, and in all my endeavours.

I am called for a purpose. I will fulfill this purpose and I will arrive at God’s ordained destiny for my life. Nothing will cut me short. I will make a formidable impact in my world for the Kingdom.

IT IS MY WEEK OF ACCELERATION!
