Wisdom For The Day Devotional 19 December 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – God Gives More Grace

TOPIC: God Gives More Grace (TREM Devotional 19 December 2022)

“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” James 4:6 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

The attitude of the believers that gives him victory in every battle is to rest absolutely in the grace of God. When man was created, he was made in the image and likeness of God. God blessed him and said be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth, subdue it and have dominion over everything (Genesis 1:26-28). So, the desire of God for us is that we must be dominion-minded and God has not changed His mind on that. We are ordained to walk in victory over everything that comes against us. We should walk with that consciousness.

The Scripture says Christ in you, the joyful confident expectation of glory, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Christ inside us, the confident expectation because we know that it will happen. Jesus described Satan’s ministry in the book of John 10:10 that the thief cometh not but for to steal, to kill, and to destroy. That has always been his intention. Each time he shows up, he’s looking for whom to steal from, to kill from, and to destroy. But the text did not end there. It says I have come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. That is why we have the gift of grace which is the reason why Christ came, for the assurance of victory in every situation that we confront.

That is why the Apostle James tells us in our text that God giveth more grace. That’s the key. By the virtue of the finished work, we are given more grace to overcome every bad situation. So, I speak more grace into your life, more grace in your business, more grace in your family, more grace in your career, more grace in your profession, in your ministry, in your health, more grace among your children, your husband, your wife, more grace at this season. Your testimony will surely come in the name of Jesus.

DAILY CONFESSIONS: DECEMBER 18TH – DECEMBER 24TH

The peace of God which passes all understanding keeps my heart and my mind through Christ Jesus and my thoughts are on things which are good and pure and perfect and lovely and of good report. I have been crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (Philippians 4:7-8, Galatians 2:20; Romans 8:2)

The Lord will comfort me in all sides, He will make my wilderness to blossom and my desert shall be like the garden of the Lord, joy, peace and gladness shall continually be in my house. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord will be a shield to me and my entire family (Isa 51: 3, Psalm 125:2)

Every day and in every way I am getting better: spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, morally, and in all my endeavours.

I am called for a purpose. I will fulfill this purpose and I will arrive at God’s ordained destiny for my life. Nothing will cut me short. I will make a formidable impact in my world for the Kingdom.

IT IS MY WEEK OF ACCELERATION!
